I use uTorrent and Torrent Rover for downloading and have seen a big decline in torrent sites in the past couple of years due to copyright infringement and the like. Someday they wont call it the world wide web anymore. Its coming!

Highly unlikely. The methods will change, but they really can't put that djinn back in the bottle.

I don't think people call it that anymore anyway but I get your point. Thankfully we are at the point where you don't actually need domain names. The silk road is proof of that...it took a multi-year investigation and some seriously lazy people to take it down, and even then it was only possible by physically going to the servers...after they found them thanks to the lazy security practices of some of the mods. Now that domain names are under the control of an international body including several countries with internet policies that make the USA look like guardians of free speech this will become all the more important. I predict there will come a time when typing in a web address will seem as antiquated as dialing a phone number to connect to a bbs.
