I have action replay max and have backed up my ps2 game with nero is there any way to play it with just the action replay system? if not what else do i need and were do i get it ?

You need Gameshark 2.0 or earlier to boot backups.
PS2 - v8

i have max evo edition and fliptop but cannot get magicswap disks is there a way or not?

Unfortunatelly, Action Replay Max automatically ejects itself when it's time to insert the game disc. This simply will not work. You must swap in the game disc without the tray ejecting.
PS2 - v8

So does this mean ARmax will not work properly on the new redesigned PS2 where the ejection is different?

it will work actually better because there will be no signal of stop and eject it will send a contempt pause wich without the ps2 knowing it will allow the top to be opened for 13 secounds in order to perform the swap

What exactly comes in the retail package for the PS2 ActionReplay Max Evo Edition -OR- the PS2 Max Drive? Is there any software included, or just the Max Drive? Just wanted to know if I could just borrow a Max Drive USB and not need anything else. THANKS to anyone with any info.

So it is necessary to use their software [AR Max Media creator] to save 'saves' and 'mp3's and 'stuf' to their USB drive is what you're sayin. If not, please correct me. That's exactly what I was askin, thanks AGAIN...

No it's not required but all it is a normal flash drive plus you can download their software from their site and if someone like me has an iso of it prepared someone could use it if they had a mod or swapmagic to use all of its features
By the way everyone i have put up a site plus forum for ps2 At http://ps2-unlimited.com and there you will find many downloads so get some freind in the forums cause they look quite bare and as allways i be there to answer questions and give you guys downloads to futher you ps2 experence

if you have a usb storage device you can use the .max save from my site (PAL) or follow the link on my site for the NTSC save, you have to check the disc id lists for the saves to see if you have a psx game with an id from the list, or you can follow the link on the forum (link in sig') to get ps2 savebuilder, and the xps to max prog' then follow the instructions on the site to make your own exploit .max save
