Hello all, i'm new here! hope you can help?

I found the same problem as i'm having on this very site in a postb from last October but it wasn't resolved in the thread - I wondered if anyone now has the answer (please see below)

This is what 'nabakov86' wrote;-

"Hi, as of late, when I've been burning a CD, after completion there is a visible gap on the CD, past which the audio or data won't play. It's usually at the same point on the CD every time. The disc will burn perfectly about 1 out of 6 times. I've been having this problem using both Nero and Stomp (Recordnow).

So far I've tried using several differnt brands of media, installed the most recent drivers, uninstalled all burning software, installed ASPI, re-installed the burning software, turned off all non-essential programs, and cleaned the lens on my burner Nothing has worked so far.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I've been pulling out my hair after wasting countless blank CDs."

That's basicly what i've got - it just started doing it recently - i'm on the verge of buying an external cd-rw or dvd/cd-rw cos i've tried loads of things to try and solve?
