Netflix is getting a little more expensive, once again

article published on 5 October, 2017

Netflix has been getting pricier ever so slowly. In the recent years the company has been both raising the prices in different markets as well as adding new tiers to make the platform more profitable. Now there's another price raise ahead, Mashable reports. The streaming giant is raising its prices on two of its payment tiers in the U.S. starting next month. The subscribers that are currently ... [ read the full article ]

This already happened to Australia we went from $15 to $18.
No major drama's for me I would go to $20 for the premium service but anything higher would make me cancel.

Sure $1 is no big deal, but they keep doing this. Look at my previous comments when Netflix did this years back. We all use to get Stream and (2) DVD disc rental for only $9.99 then they took that away and raised the prices. Or stream for only $7.99.

Then they raised the price again when it was $8.99 to $9.99.

Now they are going to raise the price again to $10.99.

Sure it's only $1 each time, but when you take things away from us and do not offer anything in exchange... then they are just punishing us for being loyal customers.

I'm not a huge fan of Netflix Originals and the movie catalogs they have to offer still suck. If it wasn't for the wife, I would just cancel Netflix. I watch YouTube videos on my TV and Roku offers enough apps to get free movies. Also if you have Satelite or Cable, you can download the TV station app on Roku and watch TV Show series that aired 24 hours ago and that beats having to pay for service like Hulu.

There are other choices, just tired of getting charged extra and receive nothing in return.

Ditto. In my case it's my daughter that uses it more than any of us. If it weren't for her I'd definitely cancel. For me the biggest problem is that you can't avoid TV shows getting mixed in to every category. The Netflix Originals I'd rather pass on too. I see what they're doing. They want to be completely vertically integrated and monopolize the industry. Won't work guys.

Netflix where are the 3D Movies? The few you have are really slim pickings! I don't like most of the Netflix originals that I've seen. Also there are many movies or movies in Blu Ray not available on Netflix.

You keep raising the price! How about asking customers what they want.
