Tim Cook promises Mac mini still has a future

article published on 20 October, 2017

Apple's computer lineup has been refreshed fairly steadily during the past years, and even though lineup has changed slightly most products are still intact. Even the iMac was updated this year with the new iMac Pro launching in December. One product seems to have been forgotten though, the Mac mini. Promise all you want Tim Cook, doesn't change the fact that the MAC mini is indeed a dead product choice for the vast majority of the world.

Now meant for a small niche of customers needing a hideable computer for say.......under a soundboard of an audio/video control booth?

Cook is like Trump........spins a positive on EVERYTHING, despite the imminent failure likelihood.

Mac mini is a nice lil' machine. If you know what you're doing, you can upgrade the CPU & the RAM to speed it up. Most mac minis can handle 16 Gb of DDR3 RAM. One thing sorely lacking from newer mac minis is a disc drive for DVD-Bluray discs.

My mid-2010 Mini was my first, Mac because it was the only one I could afford. Not going to spend thousands for a laptop, desktop or Macbook, so this is the product line for me.
I have maxed out it's RAM and upgrade the HD so it suits me fine.
