I can't find the thread i normally use to answer this but see here in the meantime ~ http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_jump.cfm/557450/3558352
You can switch between NTSC and PAL by installing the Enigmah video switcher but if that doesn't solve it i'm pretty sure it's down to choosing the correct TV type when you install the softmod. I used to have this issue on the one xbox (connected to a non-NTSC capable TV) and i think i solved it by just softmodding again, but picking the correct TV type.

If you have, just extract the zip file somewhere and FTP the contents onto the xbox, it normally installs to /E/Apps/NTSC-PAL
I found that link is dead mate so got it from else where mate.
It's a ISO file would that make a difference?
Also any heads up how I can use the ftp? Just downloaded filezilla.
Thanks again :)

Filezilla is great, i don't use that FlashFXP rubbish that's in half the guides.
As to the ISO, just download an ISO extractor to get at the contents

Easier than me explaining, just found this on the net ~
Quote: Number 1 at the very top is the address bar, which means this is where you put your FTP connection information. In "address" I typed "homebusiness-websites.com" (my domain name) and the following two fields will be the username and password assigned to your hosting account when you registered. These go in these fields. The "port" number can be left blank. If you have the other information the program will find the correct port when you connect to your hosting account.
Number 2 isn't something you really have to pay too much attention to you. In order for your FTP program to connect with your hosting account, the two computers need to pass information back and fourth. This just shows you what information is being passed. As long as there is a connection, you don't need to be bothered with anything else in this area
Number 3 shows the drives and folders on you computer. You can click through on the folders to navigate to the folder/directory where your website files are stored. When it is opened, the individual files and sub directories will be displayed in the window below (number 4).
Number 4 shows the individuals files and folders that you will want to transfer to your hosting account. Double-clicking on them will automatically transfer them. Or you can select them by holding down the "Ctrl" key and highlighting them by left clicking with your mouse on the files you want to transfer. If you have some files highlighted this way, a right-click will open a popup menu that allows you to choose the upload command. You will see these files appear in number 5.
Number 5 (if you're connected to your host) will list the files and folders you are allowed to access on your server. Any files you upload from number 4 will appear in this window. If this is a new website, and you're using Linux hosting account there is a good chance when you view the folders on your server you will see a directory called "public_html". This is where you will put your files.
Number 6 simply shows you the status of files being transferred. Again, this is something you shouldn't have to pay too much attention to.

I don't follow. Just point Filezilla towards the directory containing Enigmah, you can create the relevant directory on the xbox on the right hand of Filezilla then tell it to copy the files over..

I still don't follow. You must be softmodded already, as you're talking about UnleashX (my point is that you can't ftp to an unmodded xbox). If you haven't got an IP address setup on the xbox i'll leave that to you. It's dead easy but it's all in Chunkhead's many tutorials :)
I personally have all my xboxes on DHCP as my routers are setup with Static DHCP leases ie each device always gets the same IP address.

The FTP won't connect to the xbox but I think it's cause I'm using a dongle and not wireless or ethernet cables.
I will try it when I get my modem back tomorrow and can set my router up again.
Thanks

so everything, literally EVERYTHING went perfectly well. BUT when i test the final softmodded product i get the red ring of death and just goes to the MS DASH and tells me "if you connect you Xbox to the internet....." i have tried turning it on with both buttons and nothing changes. was wondering if there is something that i need to be doing differently. i have also tried it doing this process over and over and over. even tried to do just the single boot install. and also tried both evo and unleash. what should i do?

Boys, you're obviously doing SOMETHING wrong. Read the tutorial VERY carefully, there is obviously something you've missed! I wrote this with as much detail as I possibly could and I know, as do countless others that this process is flawless! Read it over, get a good grasp and don't rush! Oh, and HOLD the power button in for 3 seconds to turn on console!
;)
