Kazaa Lite and Emule NOT CONNECTING

i've been having trouble connecting kazaa and emule networks with the following clients:
kazaa lite resurrection 0076D
emule plus 1m

with klr kazaa just sits there connecting but never getting connected. the port is set to 32656.

with emule it will connect to different servers, try to send the clientid and then just time out.

i'm running norton internet security and connecting through a d-link wireless router. however i don't think either of these are the problem cause i put my computer in the DMZ and turned off norton (and prayed the hackers weren't watchin). still got the same errors.

i dont' think my isp is blocking stuff but i'm not sure. is there some way to test my connection to see what it can do? also is anyone else using a dlink router and knows how to forward ports to these programs? but dmz should've taken care of that.

i'm stuck
