Heres my story, i'll try and proved as much info as i can, sorry if its a overload.
Ive created a set of .IFO .BUP and .VOB files with WinDVD Creator Version 2.0 (from three .avi files) .
VIDEO_TS.IFO & .BUP
VTS_01_0.IFO & .BUP
VIDEO_TS.VOB
VTS_01_0.VOB - VTS_01_5.VOB
The \VIDEO_TS\ dir they set in is about 5GB, so i wanted to use DVD Shrink to make them smaller and then burn them to one DVD disc.
When tring to load the dir with DVD Shrink 3.2 this error kicks up.
Quote:DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue
Failed to open file X:\Path_to\VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_6.VOB
The system cannot find the file specified.
With DVD Shrink, i click the "Open Files" button and thats when i recive the error.
Ive created more then a few DVDs like ive described and ive also copied of acouple DVDs and everything worked fine with DVD Shrink.
Two of the DVD's ive made where about 4.8GB's (each) and DVD Shrink dids its job with no problems, i created the 4.8 files with WinDVD.
Ive searched around here and seen people say the files (and Dirs) need to be all in caps (which they are).
Ive also seen people say to use IfoEdit and DVDFab to fix the .IFO & .BUP files.
- Create video manager (VIDEO_TS.IFO): worked, i deleted the VIDEO_TS.IFO & .BUP file and DVDFab recreated them.
- Corrent video sectors: Ran fine, no errors.
- Analyze DVD:
Printed out http://files.joescove.com/locked/DVD_errors/DVDFab_Analyze.txt - Create change graphics: Didnt use this, had no clue what to do with it.
- Move subtitles: Rran with no errors.
Since im workng with three avi's here, i can just redo everything and make two DVD disc's, which is not a big deal. But i would like to know why im reciveing the error with DVD Shrink and how to fix it incase i run into the same problem in the future.
Thanks for any help or line of direction you's can provide me.
I guess alittle hoto with IfoEdit and the .IFO .BUP would be the first step ?
Sorry if this is in the wrong forum.
