Yahoo apparently decided that they don't want to receive mail from us, which caused email to all Yahoo-addresses pile up on one of the servers. Which adds up to quite a few emails on the day we send the newsletter out.
To ease the load on the server I've removed all email to Yahoo from mail spools for now. I guess we should start handing out Gmail invitations to Yahoo! users to make sure they receive their subscribed emails on time.
Unless we can solve the issue with Yahoo, there's a good chance next week's newsletter will not be sent to Yahoo-addresses. At least not at the same time as the others.

lmao, weasel200, don't worry i'll delete 'em :)
edit- usually, deleting replies takes absolutely ages even when response times are normal, at the moment these reply deletes are flying thru, server timeouts must have backed off a tad

Kicked things around a bit yesterday. I'll try and find the time to debug the problems further with NewAtlanta next week.
Hopefully things will stay bearable till then.
FWIW, the issue isn't browser specific, so switching between different browsers doesn't make a difference. The reason you can open the forums with one browser and not with another is that the forums are load balanced using DNS round robin. Ie. you will get a different IP for forums.afterdawn.com at different times. Browsers cache DNS requests, so if you happen to be on a server that has timeout problems, you're stuck with it with browser A. If you open a different browser it might get a different IP for forums.afterdawn.com, which might be working at the time being (there are currently 2 forums backends, so there's a 50% chance you'll end up with a different IP).
When you encounter a servlet exec problem, please try and visit http://www1.afterdawn.net and http://www2.afterdawn.net and see which one doesn't open up properly. Report back to this thread with server time & date and the name of the server.
Thanks!

Yeah. The servers don't seem to like fridays for some reason. I have no idea why, though. But they've been behaving OK again after I did some semi-major butt kicking on them.
Grrh.

The major butt-kicking seems to have worked, much better this evening. Just make sure you bring those boots in next Friday :)
