Same problem for me last light. I could get on the forum home page, but no access through the e-mail updates. It would just time out.

Wasn't getting server timeout, I could get to AD but after that could not get into any forums, replys or email. This is what I kept getting for hours

The problems last night were probably caused by errors in the profile pages which we could not resolve immediately because most of the aD staff was having a christmas party at the same time. 0=)

Sorry about the inconvenience. Hopefully the fixes made by dRD (see http://my.afterdawn.com/drd/blog_entry.cfm/78 ) helped resolve the issue.

@andmerr - no way young man, i'm too far behind with my own LOL, i've got over 400 to catch up on now. car won't start though so i've come back inside & will ring boss & try to persuade him i'll call breakdown ppl at reasonable hour as i think it's the glow plugs which means car's going nowhere. at least i can catch up on posts, timeouts permitting :)

Have you had problems with server timeouts recently? Of course during the xmas holidays everyone is off doing something else than using the forums, but atleast according to our monitoring service the servers haven't been acting up since I made the last adjustments. I guess it was on 20th or 21st.

I just received several e-mail updates and couldn't access the site through the e-mail links. They all just timed out as before. That was about 12:10 pm est. Now, 20 minutes later it looks like its working again.

there's something wrong with AD's email notifications, ie i have none.

just tried 2 of my email addresses to rule out my work's email being the cause, even though my usual automated emails from work are appearing via handheld, also looked in 'my list of subscribed threads' in my account, nothing new in there for hours.

Also just sent myself a test PM and nothing's appeared..
