Quote: note: you need a GAME umd (Like GTA) inside the psp to play dowloaded games,
You might want to clarify yourself, because that statement is not true. In any custom OE firmware, you can disable this via the recovery menu.

Well yes and no. Me personaly i keep one in there just in case. In the RECOVERY menu under config there is a lot of nifty options. My setttings are: Disable SCE, Hide Corrupt Icons, 1.50 Kernal, And Turn on Region Free. This is a great setup for 95% of games. along with one other setting. Under advanced settings there should be 3 menus. The 2 Flash Menus (flash0 and flash1) And another advance menu. inside that menu there is a option the excutes the boot.bin inclueded with the isos. this of course allows games to be load a little more easly. but you should mess around with some of the settings yourself. just remember to be careful and good luck!

Ok if this question had already been asked, I am really sorry for re-posting it again for I didn't want to go through the whole 250+ posts in more than 2 hours.
Anyways, my question is quite simple. All i want to know is,
"How are we able to load downloaded ISO/WinRaR files?". Do we just simply put it in the ISO folder like in FW 1.5 or do we put them in a different specific folder. BTW, the version I have now is a 3.40 oe-a and I cant play any games ATM. So I just want to ask now and save me the whole trouble. So, again, is there a way that we can load ISO's on a PSP FW 3.40 oe-a?

Hi, Guyz!
I hav a TA-082 PSP with firmware version 2.71 and I'm able to emulate 1.5 and 3.02.
I've been out of the PSP business for a while and was just wondering if I can somehow emulate a higher firmware version (perhaps by using a new DevHook)
Thnaks a lot !!

Devhook is done an dusted mate.
Upgrade to a custom firmware, no need for devhook, umd emulator etc any more.

Hi,
I am very new to all this, and I have searched your forum high and low to find the answer, so forgive me if you have already answered this.
I have the 2.71fw with the TA-082 mother board, and am currently using devhook 4.0 to play iso's. Recently the iso's I have downloaded have said they will not work with fw under 3.30. Do I need to upgrade devhook, or my fw? Either way, can you tell me how to go about it.
Please use simple language as I am backwards when it comes to this.
thanks

Hey dude,
Nowadays there are several approaches. First off..u need to get rid of devhook...it's a thing of the past now...
What u need to do is downgrade your fw2.71 to 1.5 and then upgrade to ANY of the custom firmwares (3.40oe/le/3.52M33 etc etc)...
Also..u could try the pandora's battery...it came out..yesterday or sth like that..
Goodluck
ps:always read instructions before actually downgrading!!
thanks

Hey dude
don't worry...
What u need to do is get rid of devhook(it's really a thing of the past:P)..and upgrade ur 1.5 to a custom fw(3.40oe/3.40LE/3.52M33).
Any of the one's above is fine and will let u play the most recent games..
