Hey Hackaday,
I'm not very clued up on installing the new HEND and the latest DEV HOOK in order to play the latest ISO's.
I thought the link you put out for HENC and the old DEVHOOK was fantastic and easy to use, you just copied everything to memory card.
Have you got such a link for the new one mentioned above?

Hi guys, just a quick question.
I have a v2.60 psp, looking to downgrade to 1.5 - And I'm a bit lost.
Do I need the GTA umd or is there a way of doing this without it?
Would it be easier to upgrade to v2.71 and use the downgrader2.71?
also if I upgrade to the V2.71 firmware, the only version I've got is a US version. Is this ok to upgrade to a UK PSP.
Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Its alot easier to upgrade to firmware 2.71 and then downgrade from that firmware. If you upgrade to 2.71 and want to downgrade from there, then no GTA UMD is required. Just follow this guide:

Also remember, you can only downgrade if your PSP doesn't have a ta-082 motherboard.
The region of the update you use to downgrade doesn't matter. I have the asian version of the PSP and I have used the US Update to downgrade and it works fine.

I'm pretty sure it does. But you'll have to ask someone who has the camera as well as DevHook 0.51.

@NE1 who can help me
I will have a psp ariving from ebay within a week.
I have not personally seen the page; however, my dad says the psp is firmware 1.5. He also said that it has 3.0 on it. From what ive read im guessing it has devhook? not sure.
any help will be greatly appiciated.

hey guys.
thanks a lot for all the great guides.
i'm now running the chunglam vxhexmod 1.25c on my 2.71 ta-082 and it works great!!
i do have a couple of questions..
to switch between 1.50 and 2.71 i'm supposed to use the devhook launcher right? i love the shortcuts (using the home button) to switch between iso-s and cpu speed but there's no such thing for switching fw is there?
and the other question is regarding gta vcs and mph gameloader.
i have a working iso that i made myself. i used it on my old clean devhook together with mph but since "upgrading" to this chunglam mod the screen freezes when the mph is trying to load the gta. what am i doing wrong?

Hey guys,
Im having some diffeculties with dh 0.51.01...At first everything went smoothly..Now as soon as i startup a gamge...it hangs on the intro screen.
Can i go back to devhook 0.46 now that i've flashed my psp with the 3.02DH FW installer that came with the dh0.51.01 easy installer??

This is not a ta-082 motherboard. It says IC6001, I think since its hard to see, on the board.

Ok after reading several posts I can see that 2.81 is not downgradeable. That really hurts because I just got the psp yesterday and upgraded it from 2.61 to 2.81 without knowing about this exploit. Is there anything that can be done with it at all without downgrading it?

that doesnt make any sense. If it says IC6001 on it then it IS a ta-082 motherboard.

It said earlier in this thread that if it said IC1003 it was a TA-082 motherboard. I am very new to the psp and thought everything else was a different type of mobo.

My PSP broke, sony gave me money to buy a new one, and i got stuck with a TA-082. I have 2.71 with HEN D, DevHook 4.X for 2.71, and DevHook 4.6. I have dumps for 1.5 & 2.6 . I'm trying to use CWCheat. I put the CWCheat prx file where it's supposed to go and edited the text file in Flash0 for 2.6 to tell it to load CWCheat when it's running a game. I think that works right, but I can't load any UMDs- even when it's not trying to use CWCheat.
I use the tif exploit to load 2.71 HEN-D then load DevHook 4.X, then
I load the 2.6 firmware dump. I try to get a UMD to run, but it just goes to the white PSP screen, freezes, then shuts down.
How do I get UMDs to work on a 2.71 PSP running DevHook 4.X and HEN-D, and am I using CWCheat right?
