Yeah, I tried both ways with the same problem. Not sure what's going on.

Another thing, I tried importing your new profile but it doesn't show up in the MeGUI dropdown list.

Has anybody came across this issue. I ripped a BD but the HD m2ts files played back scrambled with the entire screen pixelized and green. When I tried playing the same file on ym PS3 it was fine.

I just discovered that changing the keyframe interval on my last profile update did indeed improve codec efficiency but it reduced Blu-ray compatibility.

I am very sorry...

Here is another one with the keyframe interval set back as before...

I figured a way around this problem. I just remuxed the mkv to m2ts, then ran that file through... It's going through MeGUI right now and at a normal rate.

I am running a newer version of MeGUI that has had some major changes since version x.2.x.xxxx.

I am running MeGUI v0.3.0.1020 and x264 version 920 (Skystrife patch). I think maybe this has something to do with it.

Which issue?

The profile is only to ensure that x264 encoding is done within the Blu-ray compliant boundaries. I have spent some time fine tuning the settings to maximise quality.

I did an encode with minimum keyframe 24/maximum keyframe 240 and it played fine on the PS3, however after further research it seems that the minimum keyframe 1/maximum keyframe 24 setting is needed for Blu-ray compliancy. I am looking into this further to try to work out why this is so important. To me it seems a strange requirement as extra keyframes means more bits used.

Hey Guys,i really need your help here, im wanting to do my very first vc-1 bluray to ps3 conversion.....heres what ive done so far,

1) ripped the main movie from the bd disk to HDD using tsmuxer, this is in m2ts format, and is one big file

2) installed megui, net framework 2, and upgraded to latest version, and installed all updates....

3) installed latest alpha version of Avisynth

4) Within my megui install directory, i created a new folder named "Profiles", within this directory i created another directory named "Video", and placed the "ryu77" xml profile in there.

5) everytime i try to load megui, it says "failed to load profile, delte?", i say no, but it still deletes the profile and the whole "Profiles" folder..

What am i doing wrong, how do i load the ryu77 profile using the latest megui?

Also, how do i load the M2ts file in megui?, i guess it has something to do with avisynth, ive never used this program before, and it looks confusing....please help me, im so close i feel

Hi All. RYU.... great job:) Odin also :)
First.... sorry for my english.
Best regards from Poland.

OK. I have a BIG problem.

Have a BD film called The Patriot with Gibson. I ripped it on hdd via AnyDVDHD. Main film is in 2 *.m2ts files 28.2 and 14.6 GB
I load this 2 files to TsMuxer to apend them, then i have one big *.m2ts file.
Next i demux via TsMuxer the audio and PGS streams. I have 5 audio and multi PGS streams.
Next I load this big *.m2ts file to MeGui to encode.... and here is the problem.
When the process start after made a avs script in the small progress window i see in line where is: total lenght of clip a strange lenght. My film have 2:55:07 lenght but here is 3:22:xx or 4:xx:xx. I don't now why. It's not a progress time because it is on the lowest line. Anywhere... when the process finished and i try to watch the results.... The first part is ok, thats mean about 1:55:xx but next... I watch again video from the part that i watched seconds ago. Audio is ok but video...
I uploaded a sample with another short clip. You con see how it's look's like.
http://www.mediafire.com/?svu1mybj5hm

there is a log from MeGUI

http://www.mediafire.com/?g8xzdvj0ztv

and avs script

To fixed this....On the Input page in Megui click on Config. Then click on Logfile then save your output to where you want it to go then click save at the bottom then your finish.

(1)You got to go to tools then Avisynth Script Creator

(2)Then click onto Video Input load your M2ts file there wait til it load.

(3)Then on that same page make sure you add your Aspect Ratio in the video DAR box click save.

(4)Then tools Bitrate calculator set your video out put size don't forget to add 570MB for header if your making a AVCHD.Click save then back to Input click Enqueue. Then hit Queue Start encoding.

@ robson241,

I suggest you actually view the two m2ts files before you append them, that way you can verify which parts a correct.

Still having issues with this...

When in MEGUI, i hit config (from video encoding settings), the logfile is greyed out, and i can't select a path (it says .stats within it)....

Everytime i place a Profiles folder within MEgui root, and then another folder named Video inside it, and drop the ryu77 profile in there....i open up megui and it says cannot load job or something. delete?, i say no yet when i go to the directory the whole "profiles" folder is removed (im using the latest version with all plugins updated...

Now onto Avisynth, when i goto script creator, try opening the .m2ts file, its unsupported and not recognised, it says something about the filters may not being installed?, i have never used avisynth in my life....

thanks to all in reply:)

@nsta,

I think you should start from scratch. First uninstall MeGUI and AviSynth. Now on to what you need.

You need to install;

Haali Media Splitter
FFDshow
CCCP (Combined Community Codec Pack)
This version of MeGUI, it has all of the neccesary filters, plugins, and encoders. We'll upgrade later.
http://www.mediafire.com/?xcnhcb1j14f
and
The latest stable version of AviSynth

Once everything is set up you can upgrade to this version of MeGUI.
http://downloads.sourceforge.net/megui/m...82&big_mirror=0

When you install this version it will prompt you to import a lot of profiles, do all of them. Once done you should have the latest version of MeGUI and should be all set up to encode to x264.

Tools--> AviSynth Script Creator... load your m2ts file there, uncheck "resize"... save.

Tried loading the video file and i get an error:

AviSynth Script Error:
DirectShowSource: Renderfile, The filter graph manager won't talk to me

If it helps, theres no AVS profile setup in that window aswell

What have i done wrong?, this is a .m2ts created from the bd rip (it contains vc-1 video, and ac3 audio, nothing else)

Did you install everything I suggested?, Haali and FFDshow? Also, verify the program path in the Options/Settings/Program Paths menu, you only looking to set up the x264 encoder for now.

Hey Odin, is there a simple AVS script i can create and save as .avs which will let me open my .mkv/m2ts/.264 file videos?....as the script editor doesn't work for me....

Thats all thats left to do so i can start doing some recodes....

Also, if i wanted to make a re-encode with the same file size and quality how do i go about it, do i just just the same bitrate or something???

I have been using Megui to encode AVCHD's from MKV files and most turn out great, thanks for Ryu's profile and help from Odin and Ryu.

Now I have a new VC1 WMV files that I would like to encode for AVCHD playback on PS3 too. Does anyone have any suggestions? Megui seems okay with the WMV source, although I haven't run it all the way thru yet.

What about Audio? What's the best tool to extract audio from WMV files that will be usable by tsMuxer to create the final AVCHD files?

Thanks in advance.
