help with shrink 3.2 and lite-on drive

I have downloaded shrink 3.2 and dvd decryptor and i keep recieving an error message when trying to burn a dvd...but my friends works perfectly..could it have somethin to do with my lite-on drive, what i am doing is...opening shrink, doing the custom ratio to about 81 percent, then create back up as iso image and burn with decryptor, but i keep recieving error messages about halfway thru the burn...any ideas? thanks alot

the last post is what im getting whe ni use Nero to burn it along shrink 3.2...this next error message is what i get when i try to burn with decryptor......

Do you have the latest firmware on that burner ?? Lite-on are known to have strange behaviour with some media.
Nero Info Tool will tell you what Firmware you have on now. -- Check at this URL :-

Next do a clean install of NERO by using the TOOL to remove it first then installing again.

Go to Nero website and get the tool ! It's an utility made by Nero to remove the software ! BEFORE installing.
This is a sure way to have more problems -- if i suggested to you to get the tool -- it's because it's needed to do a clean install.

You have done what was needed to make sure it was not a hardware or software problems -- Updated your firmware for the burner and Re-Installed your burning software ! -- This looks now that you may have some poor media to burn on ! Would be worth a try to run a simulation to your Hard Drive -- and if that works ok -- get a few disks of a different quality media.
Ther real expert in here for burning with Nero is a gentleman by the name CCampbell -- he is an employee of Ahead Software , the company that produces Nero !!
Looking at your log , with my limited knowledge of interpretation , i can only offer the choice of trying new media as a possible alternative . What you did was no time loss, cause now you have a burner that is up to date and software that is installed properly.
Let's hope that CCampbell picks up that thread ! He may see the little gremlin that I cant see !

hey thanks to you i finally got it to work..i changed to tdk dvd's my first couple worked but the last one says something about it is not formatted to play in this region, but i selected a diff region when copying it? any help on that? thanks alot for all that you have done

Since january 2000 -- Drives are RPC2 -- this prevents you from using movies from all over the world on your drive. Hence the importance for you to make your copy REgion Free !! There are some firmware ((cracked)) versions that would make your drive accept all regions -- however they void your warranty and are irreversible ((in most cases))if your Manufacturer comes up with an update for your drive.
DVD Decrypter is also multi-angle aware, and capable of removing the Macrovision scrambling key, as well as the region code during the ripping process ;so your copy should play in your drive REGION FREE.
Mind you there is software that does that in the background and render useless DVD Decrypter -- All you need then is DVD Shrink and Nero. BUT they cost money !! AnyDVD v4.0.4.1 and DVD43 are available in the Software Library here ! On trial basis
Glad you changed that media and it solve the last part of your problem -- You have seen many in here stressing the need for good media -- and that is so important !

I've been having the same problem when burning from shrink 3.2/nero 6 (w/most recent update) & I've been making coaster after coaster with my Memorex 4X +Rs. I will get 90%+ through the burn, then get the fail error message. I now have been using Memorex +RWs & have not had a problem.
Before I downloaded the most recent Nero6 update (2 weeks ago)I was able to use the Memorex +Rs w/o a problem. Any recommendation as to which will work best other than my +RWs?
