Anybody seen this error before? I'm using all defaults. The disc I'm trying to shrink is 7 gb. Thanks.

Try playing the disc for a few seconds with a software player such as PowerDVD or WinDVD to unlock the drive then fire up Shrink :)

Every now and again there's a title that really boogers up Shrink so if 72Morgan's advice doesn't work I'd suggest using DVD Decrypter to rip the film then open them with Shrink to compress them :)

Use a program such as AnyDVD which will make sure the DVD is decrypted and you should have no more problems. I had your situation before and AnyDVD solved it. Good luck.
