Hi Everyone,
I installed BitTorrent, but am not able to download anything b/c I keep on receiving this error:
urlopen error - (7, 'getaddrinfo failed')
I took the advice on a lot of FAQ sites to let it run for awhile (I let it run overnight) but my download status has never gone past 0%.
Does this problem have to do w/my Norton AntiVirus installed? Or my router?
Any help would be very very much appreciated!!!

Get Address Info Error
either A. it couldn't connect to the tracker to get the file
or
either B. sumat like norton or your router is blockin

Thanks for your reply, and sorry for my lack of knowledge, but 1 more question :)
Do you know how I can try and find those settings to unblock it? I tried looking around my NAT to find my firewall settings, but to no avail. Also, I recently installed the new XP SP - (which included an annoying popup blocker - I already have google's blocker). Any chance that came w/new firewall settings?

yep - shitty windows xp SP2 firewall
goto control panel and double click windows firewall, disable it & get a better one like mcafee or sygate, lol, actually reverse that - get a better one, then disable windows firewall ;^D
althought if that doesn't help it might be the .torrent where did u get it?
one more thing... you can disable the popup blocker in SP2 by right clicking on the bar at the bottom of internet explorer
(where the little "blocked popup" icon appears)
and selecting disable/stop popup blocker :D

Awesome - thanks! I'm at work now, so I won't be able to test this out right away - but will be doing so when I get home.
I think the site that i got my .torrent from is pretty legit as I have friends that have gotten files from there - suprnova.org?

hey there im just wonderin if any of you av downloaded gta san andreas usin bittorrent n suprnova. im downloading one which got to 60% no probs but then it said "rejected by tracker - torrent not registered with this tracker" and now i cant download any of it it wont let me connect. The torrent is here :
http://66.90.75.92/suprnova//torrents/2837/PS2-Grand%20Theft%20Auto%20San%20Andreas%20USA-%20FULLDVD.torrent but you gotta change the two X's to two T's. Can anyone find out how to solve this problem
and get it workin again

OMG
dude..... what part of "no piracy" do you not understand???
GTA - San Andreas, for the PS2 - is a brand new, copyrighted game.... which means your are illegally obtaining files that are copyrighted which = piracy!!
ok, so you got it???? no piracy!!!!
but - if it says "rejected by tracker - torrent not registered with this tracker" then the torrent can't be downloaded and you would have to find another source to download, that torrent won't work - ever
but remember!! no piracy!!!

hey i downloaded GTa San Adreas off suprnova.org with the file name GTA+San+Andreas+Pal+Multi5+esp-fre-eng-ita-ger+FULLDVD does anyone have the password to the rar file? cuz that website is spanish and its bloody pisisng me off
