Problem with BitTorrent

Could someone please help me?

I have been trying to use BT for ages now, but i cant figure out how to get it running smoothly. I read about people getting massive speeds whilst downloading, but the most i ever managed was 15Kbps.

Originally i was using Torrent Storm, which had a good interface, it slowed my Internet access virtually to a stop and downloaded a max of 15Kbps.

I've just tried Bit Tornado, but cant even seem to connect to anything.

I keep getting 'Problem connecting to tracker - 10061' errors and 10060 errors as well.

I have forwarded my 6881 port to 6899 like i read on here somewhere, and also opened the other ports for the internet connection, again like i have read on here. But i am still not having any luck. Could someone please help?
