C'MON GUYS IM GETTING SIK OF PEOPLE ASKING FOR MAPS CAUSE THEY SCREWED UP WHEN THEY MOD< NOW I SPESIFCLY (spelling error :P) SAID Quote:

I need help.
I followed the instructions as specified, I have all that down no problems with that, but When I change for a gun to have infite amo and i save it then ftp it back to the xbox overwrte the existing file, when i go to load it it does not load it?
im not adding any patches or anything?
This is what I do: open the map. click on weapons. click on smg. add 9999 to start ammo max ammo, clip size, reload, then i click save. close it out and ftp it over to the xbox?
what im i doing wrong ?
PLEASSSSEEE HELP!!

ughhh i do everything the tut. says and i edit the maps fix the encryptions then it gives me some crap that i cant load the map. can someone tell me what is wonrg. and i use dothalo too.

You need to: If it is an Old map (One that comes of your disk) Then you need to fix encryption before you ftp to your xbox, if it is a new map (One you downloaded or bought a update halo2 disk)then you need to use CMR resigner which resignes the new maps to there original state and therfore making them usefull again.

I have a softmodded xbox and i have modded halo 2.
I was recently banned on one of my xbl accounts from bungie servers from matchmaking. The thing about it is I never used it to play in matchmaking with i used my other xbox for that! anyways this dosent realy matter cuz i have access to 3 more xbl accounts.

if you softmoded for halo 2 and you DONT get on live to mod w/ h2, can you get on live for madden 06(a game your not modding) , or will they detect your softmod and ban your account?

I know you will get banned from MM for having modded maps but do you need to have modded maps to use like the super run,auto aim,and jumping really high mods and just those type of stuff and will i get banned in a few hours for having those mods or is their like a patch i can get so that i wont get banned a friend told me about it

guys plz dont disscuss about modding on xbox live, if you have any problems other than halo 2 modding (not xbox live), then they dont belong here. friendly users of after dawn can answer your questions if you just start a help thread, and dont name it help to, just state the problem. ;)

how do you get a softmodded xbox. im new at modding and dont realy no about the FTP cables and how to save a copy of halo2 on my hard drive. if you could explain this to me it would be appreciated. i will use your thread to my advantage once i know wat those things are

johntw, didn't you see the thread right above this one? "How to Softmod! **With Pics**! Tells how to get on XBL too!"?
Read up on that thread. You don't just "get" a softmodded xbox. You have to have the right tools (like the ones in the tutorial), and you make it into one. It doesn't just happen on it's own.

i already got action replay and i have unleashed x dash i have dothalo flash fxp a map resinger ppf omatic but were do i get other modders ppf's so i can ppf omatic them resing the map and put them back onto my xbox and can some1 send me the new maps if u can ill send u my email

At the moment i'm unsure if it's safe for me to say where to get them, because, as you can see, I'm very new to afterdawn. Instead of possibly getting myself banned by linking you somewhere, just search Google. It's not very hard, just search for ppfs for halo 2 or something. I used to know a site for that, but it seems they've been shut down. Searching shouldn't be too hard.. I just found tons of results in one try.
Anyway, I don't think it's a smart move saying you'll send someone your email for the maps.. I'm sure that falls into the "piracy" category, as well as it's kind of going against what the title says not to do. ("NO EMAIL addresses or instant banning")

@ xbox1noob: PPF files are patches. You open the map, the patch, and apply. They can be created, and downloaded.
@ sir_jon_3: FTP is also known as file transfer protocol. It's the easiest way to transfer files inbetween your PC and your xbox. When your xbox is modded, open up a popular dashboard (there's generally only two commonly used with softmods.. both will work), and have your Xbox and PC connected to a router. Use a FTP client like Filezilla on your PC, and connect to the IP address your Xbox gives you. Username and password are both 'xbox'. The port is 21. Search for some Xbox FTP tutorials on the Google if you need to know more... There might be a tutorial here somewhere (it's most likely), but doing a google search will bring one up for you quick.

yes i already new all that i just found awhole bunch of patches and now im gonna modd i let u know how it goes thank u all so much
i also stand by and if i get my comp bak ill bridge heres my gamer tag right now all my levels are lgit ive been lagit 34 in slayer and 32 in snipes but i delevald to to 28 in slayer and snipes

www.filefront.com now i dont have my xbox modded with these ppf's yet so i dont no what they are or how good they are but some are good
if u know anywere were their is rly good ppf's lik plasma pistal that shoots sniper or hot to have and otomatic br and 360 out aim
