Latest bin file should correct the auto roll, so turn it back on.

Jerry,
Any idea if the new bin is clone safe? Sorry to keep asking, but those of us who got suckered into buying a clone didn't know any better... Thanks again.

Jerry, I just joint and read a lot of your replies to multiple questions. However I need to ask mine to make sure I do not get in trouble with my 3500 (no S or SD, just plain 3500). I have not used it since last spring. What files do I need to have to get it alive again for DN?
I know you may have answered that question some time back to others but due to version changes I am not sure what to download. I appreciate your help.
Thanks - T4tiger

This link is to the latest 3500 files. Go back to page 12 of this thread and you will find the complete instructions for the install.

I also added a link in my signature for another key program (Keyripper). Use it until the Keymaster site gets back up.

No clone safe bin yet. I'll keep checking. Just install keys manually for now with auto roll OFF.

The present DN card is a yellow one if I'm not mistaken. I haven't played with card systems in about 3 years so I'm out of the loop on those. Once they swap cards you need the newest one in use I think.

No, bin files are written for each receiver model. For example Pansat has a different bin file for each model and can't be used on each other. Viewsat is the same way, one bin file for each model. This link below will have the Viewsat files.

Jerry, you already told me that my dish with triple feed is not compatible to FTA a long time ago. I am the one from Brazil. I tried another dish with only one feed, but I still can't find any sat. I plugged the dish to my birdog and also to my pansat 3500s, but nothing. Can you help to find the right dish/lnb to use with FTA? I am not familiar with this, but I am almost sure that the problem is the dish. That's the reason I cannot watch any channel. Thanks

I never actually looked at how they are listed in the menu but NIM #1 is a 91 degrees and NIM #2 is at 82 degrees. They may be listed as BEV or BELL EXPRESS VUE. I'm not really sure and I gave my Pansat to my Son-in-LAW so I can't check it.

Check out this site link for Sat Finder software. There should be something on that site to help you find the sats from your location.

There are so many different receivers out there that its hard to give advice on this subject. What you need to look for is good support from the code writers that make these bin files so we can enjoy free TV. Starting last June, ALL FTA receivers were shut down by new encryption for about 3 months. It looked like we were never going to get back up and running. Finally, Viewsat receivers came out with a bin file to decrypt the encryption. Some say they cracked it themselves, others say they bought the information they needed. It doesn't really matter how they got it, the fact is they were the only receivers working for about 1 1/2 months. In time the other brands got the fix also. This is what you need to look at. If your receiver goes black, who will be first to write the code to turn it back on. I was a long time user of Pansat receivers, then purchased a Viewsat during the last blackout. I am well satisfied with my Viewsat so that is my first choice now. I still like the Pansats also. Stay away from what they call CLONE boxes. Support (files) for these are always hard to find and the manufacturer my disappear fast. Average price for a good box will be around $150 to $200. Most FTA forums are free to join and so the files are free too. DO NOT pay to join a site or buy the bin files. Hope this helped some.

I have the Viewsat Platinum. File loading is almost the same on both Pansat and Viewsat. Just a slight difference in the look of the loader program. I did own the pansat 2700A which is the one I gave my daughter to use. pansat just came out with a 2800 that seems like a good box. You should be able to learn the programming very easy. Join this forum at the link below if you want the Pansat. Its the site the program coder (Blacklist) supports the most. Files are usually released there first. Free to join. Then read the getting started--and setup guides.
