I'm pretty sure that isnt real. At best its the non-working single layer rip that came out ot taiwan yesterday, but its probably not even that. If it was a full dual layer rip it'd be over 8 gigs.

The Wiikey Team have confirmed to WiiNewz that they are in the process of obtaining a Japanese original of the game so that their coder can begin working on a compatibility fix and dump app.
It has come to our attention that some people on IRC claim to have had some success in dumping the game and that they are in contact with the Wiikey Team. We cannot dispute their claims of dumping the game but we can 100% assure you that no such contact with Wiikey has been made, nor is there likely to be any. Please take any claims from these individuals with a grain of salt.
Regardless, work will begin soon on a Wiikey update to correct these issues. With the Wiikey website now closed, WiiNewz will be the official source for news regarding the chip. If you don't read it here first, it's not true... simple as that.

i could careless if there is a torrent of the japanese version or not what i cant wait to here is the wiikey guys say they got the oringal game working with the chip cuz i have already paid for it and i want to have no problems playing the orginal game on my modded wii.

Wow, those pics look real and all but looks can be decieving. Anyone have the actual torrent for the claimed successful backup? Im definetly buying the american version I just want the japanese backup until I can go to the local Target for the american brawl.
The wiikey team will definetly pull through, they sold way to many wiikeys to just let all those buyers down overing some coding difficulties...

Thing is, its done, theres the img on the wiinewz.com site, soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo where is a torrent? It takes not but 2 seconds to start seeding a torrent. Honestly.

Thats exactly what im saying but the problem is for most of us it still wont work until we have an update from the wiikey staff for those who have wiikey from before the D2C modchip. Even with the actuall torrent we run into trouble with the face that now we would need some dual layered high quality disks which can get kinda expensive...

I'd rather wait for the wiikey update first since my japanese brawl will be here within a few days and I've preordered the US one.
It would have been nice to have brawl for Super Bowl sunday...

Could be anything as far as a reason he hasn?t seeded. Could be he has a slow connection. *shrug* I mean honestly, that?s why the built in 56k support for Final Fantasy XI, most of japan is still on dial up at home. Just about everyone who does any high speed gaming on WoW or otherwise does so on public hotspots.
We will see though, I really want to see if anyone has tried this out. I agree with a post I read following it stating to effect ?The Japanese have a knack for coding in a pinch if it involves small yet efficient programs with a specific purpose.?

You don't know how right im hoping you are. Eigther way im thinking by next week the latest they will defently overcome the problem. If we've already waited an entire 2 years I think we can wait another week or so.

This is great news, however does this new dumper work with Brawl on a Japanese Wii (ie: ripped, burned, played, working)? I'd like to see videos of they before I get excited about a torrent.
Also: people who say "bah, torrent, we still have to get Wiikey working." Torrents take a while, especially when they are young. A working torrent would be fantastic, and a lot of people have working mod chips (Cyclowize, etc.). I know you are trying to be optimistic, but a working torrent would be nice. And in the US, DL discs aren't that much money... I have a Wiikey and a Japanese version is on its way to my house. I'd still like to see a working torrent.

I agree with the need of a torrent or any kind of upload. Just so that someone and actually more importantly the WiiKey team can get working on a solution.
