Why can't I hear the audio track !!!

Gents, I am converting a Divx movie to an Mpeg1 non VCD format so that I can watch it in my DVD player. For this I am using ULEAD Video Editor 6 Pro. With the video, no problem, just wonderful. With the audio, I get nothing!! No sound. Yet when I play the Dvix movie within Ulead, I get sound. But when I convert it - nothing! Yes, both "video" and "audio" are selected.

There's very little to play/adjust with when it comes to the audio track. I CAN'T FIGURE THIS STUPID THING OUT!!!

Well blalonde, when I convert my DivX files to mpeg1 for making my VCD's I use TMPEGEnc, arguably one of the best programs out there. But you would still end up with the same problem because they won't convert the compressed audio. You need to uncompress the audio first and then put the original DivX and the .wav file trough together.
The program I use to extract the .wav file from the DivX is "avi2vcd". I don't know about now, but b4 it had an audio decompresser in the package.

Yep. that,s a fair enough comment. But now that you've got that of your chest, how about adding something constructive. You say you know as much. So how about supplying him an answer to his problem.
