6230b uses different settings to unlock it, its a custom box setting
and you always use code 1

thank has work i think, it said phone restriction off, so thank you so much for that, but it also said, sim card regsitration failed, do u have any idea what that means??

restriction off means it worked as in your phone is now unlocked but the other message usually means the sim hasnt been activated by o2 as of yet, because its new or because its blocked (stolen)
if it persists contact o2, either on the phone, doesnt have to be your mobile or go to o2s website
if you need one there free today on o2 again, if you want the link let me know and ill pm you, because lost time they thought i was spamming

Hi ben.1, i haven't put any gaps in, i was just asking if i should as i wondered if thats why it wasn't working.
I've now tried 7 and 5 and 1 and none of them worked unfortunately. So i guess i'm going to call the local unlocker tomorrow to come and do it. He charges about £12, so i was hoping to save the cost, but nevermind, i guess the shortcuts in life don't always work for everyone!
If you do have any ideas in the meantime, please let me know - if not i appreciater your help anyway. Cheers. :-)

HURRAH, HURRAH!! IT'S WORKED!! OH HAPPY DAY!!
And luckily it worked on code 7 on my 5th and final try!

This may sound silly, but do I type in everything in the code you gave? Like #pw+ etc...or do I just key in the numbers without the spacing?
Can you advise on where I can go to unlock my Sony Ericcson T68i too?

thankyou ben, but although it aid restriction of, when i put sim card in, and put back on, it still says phone restricted, with an undo symbol beneath it, so when i put the code in again, it says there was no restriction on this phone, but the stop and phone restricted sign will not leave disappear, and therefore canot use phone.. any ideas.. tia.
