I have dvdxcopy platinum I tried to copy a porn but it gets right to 98% and stops everytime does anyone know of a program affordable or free that will copy porn

rip w/ DVD Decrypter. It might be a cheap ass disc. If it cannot be read/ripped you will not be able to copy it.

Thanks Flip ive had several disks that I could not copy all were of the xxx type all other movies my dl burner dvd+r with dvdx platinum has worked fine

Now, that "sucks"! ... pardon the pun. Keep on trying; I haven't tried to copy any XXX/Porn dvd's; but, now, I am curious. So, keep us posted. I have only had one dvd that I can't copy with that software and it is Remember the Titans! I am going to try it again soon though.

well several attempts and nothing worked on that particual dvd seems that some of the dvd just wont copy i am going to rent another company and see if i have problems copying that one. I usually have good success copying most movies and I use TDK blank dvds they seem to always get a perfect burn. if you know any other brands that are good please list them

Most xxx rated DVD's that I wish to backup will not do so correctly. Ripping them onto PC with Decrypter is fine, but after burning them with NeroVision Express 2 SE I have found many of the DVD's repeat about 3 scenes within each section within the completed DVD, or only play about 3 chapters instead of probably eg. 6. This does vary and so far I haven't had any problems backing up other DVD's - just xxxx. I suspect this is the copyright of the original DVD, ok to rip onto pc but no good to burn onto DVD.
Has anyone got any thoughts on this please?

I never ran into that. I just rip the good scenes then compile them into one big long visual orgasm :)
Do the VOBs play fine and in order off your hard drive?

Thanks for the reply :) The VOB's play in order and are of excellent quality off my hard drive, not a problem with that.
After they are burnt onto DVD's is the problem as mentioned..........maybe that is the way it's meant to be :) however, I will keep working on it.

How big is the file when it's ripped to the hard drive? Surely porn wouldn't be on a DVD9?

I checked the disc's and they are clean - thanks.
Files are various sizes, one DVD ripped on to pc is made up of 4 larger files such as 1,048,334kb about that size, then 74,998 x 1 and 8kb one about, making in total 4.03GB......this is how NeroVision Express 2 SE breaks the files up.

try dvd xxx copy :)
nah, almost all xxx discs are single layer so your best bet is DVD Decrypter, and they definitly dont have any new copy protection making burns fail

I have no issues backing up porn and even the newer releases are not a problem, hmmm....I use shrink and decrypter to burn just like anyother movie.
I thought I read some were the adult indust was intalks about a new copy protection or somthing?
Maybe the mods should make this a sticky thread..HA!

I agree, I first use Decrypter to get the DVD on my PC and When I went to try a XXX with Shrink it says:
Target Size Exceeded The current DVD size is to big! If you continue, you may not be able to burn the resulting files. Please ensure that video is set to 'Automatic' compression, or try disabling some audio streams.
The Automatic compression is at auto so I just click OK and it seems to run fine... Then I simply use decrypter to burn the ISO file.
Nothing seems to be missing.
I get this message with each XXX I've tryed. I have no idea why but the out come seems to be a success.

OK OK..I got a theory and maybe an answer..
I have (I really do) have a 4hr long (he said long jeje) porn flick and when I try to use shrink (berrr its cold) I get an error of some sort (cant remember) but Im assuming shrink (he said shrink again) cannot compress the 4hr flick to its targeted size which the compression ratio would be almost at zero (assuming) but if you tell shrink that its a dvd9 then maybe you will be able to edit and so on to increase fuh-lay-she-ohhhh.
What do you think? does that sound reasonable?
how many hrs is the porn flick?

try using Clone dvd,we don't burn xxx movie so i don't know if it will work on xxx movies.download a trial version and give it a try with the decrypter.

Two passes with Shrink usually does the trick for the extra long uncut peni.......umm movies :)
