2 passes.... How do you do that if you don't mind me asking? I take my last posting back.... It didn't work.... I thought it was a full flick, but it gets cut off... Still no luck... Keep the ideas flowing all. lol and if I figure out this 2 pass thing I'll try that :) Thanks

2 passes means put it in, pull it out, put it back in, my PB is 3 1/2 passes
or
run it through shrink to reduce the file size and back up, then run the backed up file through shrink and reduce to size

I have also had probs with various "poorly copied" dvd's getting sector errors when i have tried to burn off a copy from them but news is good....i have solved my prob.
The simle way i found to rip an errored dvd was by running "Any dvd 4.5.8.1" in the background, this software has done me proud.....give that a go m8.
Btw....if you are having no probs with an origional disc and only trouble with your burnt discs i would suggest you get a better burner m8, the most common prob's are caused by poor burners and cheap discs.

Well and long last I have managed to stop the scrambling during burning of the backup xxxx DVD. I deleted the small files and kept the large ones and all is well. It worked for me. Still got all the important part of the xxxx. It takes a blonde to think of something like that :) - thanks everyone for your input and output........take care till we meet again.

Haha, Ive got like 4 pr0n movies on my comp. Ive always wanted to get some more but dial up is the main problem lols, and the only other option is renting them out, haha, imagine the guys face in blockbuster if you try renting out some crappy lesbo flick

I had similer problem with an educational disk
turned out to be check sum trick
DVD was printed with a differant check sum number
that the actual sum of bits on the disk
copied all the way to 98 or 99 %, then failed

you do if you can only last five mins .anyway have you tried to rip the dvd as an image file Nero?.have copied over150 off these no probs,but have found the ones with the picture gallerys at the end are corrupt.you can use shrink to rip,sometimes comes up with 2 main films but usualy its the same film but a different angle.clone cd the latest version will rip it anyway it also copies dvdsmint program. now last longer than five mins ha ha
