I'm trying to bakcup UFC: Revoluion, and DVD shrink won't shrink it. It does the same thing if I'm Either reading from the disk, or from a ISO file I got by ripping it to my hard drive using DVD decryptor. I have the target DVD size set to 4300, and all the compression to automatic, but DVD shrink sees the size of the target file at about 4589 MB. Even if I change the compression size to custom, it doesn't help becaue the sliders are all the way to the left. I know i could probably remaster it and get rid of the extra's, but I want to keep them. The compression on the main movie is set to 54.3%. I know Shrink will compress at ratios smaller than this. Any ideas?

Here's a novel idea. Post a Shrink question in the Shrink forum.

Here's another novel idea. Don't be an ASS. I thought it was a NEWBIE question and since I'm burning DVD-R's, I thought just MAYBE, just MAYBE mind you, that the post might go in the "DVD-R for newbies" forum. Please forgive me for offending you.
You know, it's not like there's a million DVD Shrink and DVD decryptor posts in the newbie forum, like maybe this one: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/152511
or this one:
http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/152919
or even this one:

oh, oh I almost missed this one:

Offended ... No. But if your trying to piss me off, your off to a good start.

Now, FYI ..... We are all here on our free time. I work a twelve hour day and hit the forum usually within an hour of getting home. 3 of the 4 threads were started started today!!! Don't worry I'll move them.

Now I did say 3 of the 4 you posted. This one is about DVD Decrypter. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/152154
Since your the genius, tell me where Shrink is mentioned in that thread??

Go over your initial post .... You are specifically asking about Shrink.

Oh, next time you post an example ... read the thread.

RE: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/152511

Although it says Shrink in the thread title .... beginning of the post.

Well first off my Subject isn't all that correct. What I mean is I have been backing up my old dvd's and they play fine in my PS2 and dvd player...but now after I back up newer movies (such as I Robot, The Forgotten, Collateral) they play in my PS2 fine but my dvd player will not play them?
Not really a Shrink question, more like a playback issue problem. Nice try.

Did you remove any un-needed audio?
http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/dvd9_to_dvdr_with_dvd_shrink_page_2.cfm

DVD Shrink can only compress so much at one time.
You will have to remove something or will have to shrink a second time.

Thanks Velbin, how do I shrink it again?

Yes Flip I was trying to piss you off. You're (notice it's not your, try to learn some simple grammer rules) an ass. I had no problem with the thread being moved, but you didn't have to a prick about it. I guess since you're a MODERATOR you can be a dick to other people, but if somebody calls you on, they get banned. Just try to be a little more civil.

@ jemkeith

I'm all for spirited disagreements but you crossed the line calling flip a dick and an ass. Better luck next time.

jemkeith, Next time you try to teach someone about "grammer" you should probably know how to spell grammar.
