@brobear....Ah, my apologies. One thing I have noticed is that you always know whereof you speak or you don't speak it! (Actually, I'm a CIA internet spy and I see you googling between our exchanges LOL). I brought it up because its a common, perhaps even logical mistake. "I'm not getting high anymore so it musn't be working like it did" is what most people think; hell, I did the same. (And as I mentioned in another post, I tend to ramble...at least I can't be accused of leaving out the details LOL!)
I envy you my friend; Lord how I miss riding a bicycle! I would never ride a bike living in downtown Philly but have thought of getting one for the parks; we have some large parks with great bike and hiking trails but I could really hurt myself if I fall and falling is likely sooner or later. I'm thinking of joining this hiking and camping group though...it was a passion of mine for years. I'm going to put a light backpack together and try it with a friend just to see if I can still do it. Just something light and easy for an afternoon try. Have a good night brobear; I'm hitting the hay early!

brobear, just that he found just as many cp's thru c-sections as there was thru normal births. the only conclusion than that the cp was caused before birth either thru c-section or normal way. when you think about it cp is the infant version of what happens when an adult has a stroke. mild stroke little or minor damage, major stroke major damage to the brain.

You're "dead on" on the bicycling. I lived in Lexington, KY a few years ago. Plenty of places to bike, bike routes, trail sections in parks, the works. You can ride downtown there. It's a bike friendly city. Almost has to be with the majority of college kids biking around. UK and Transy are only a few miles apart. It was easier a lot of times to bike instead of taking a car, if the trip wasn't over a few miles. Long story short, one icey day I took a turn onto a drive that had a slight ridge. Good thing I wasn't going fast or it would have sent me to the hospital; but the fall alone triggered acute back pain. So I don't bicycle as much nowadays and when I do I'm more careful.
I live in the country now. You wouldn't believe all the natural beauty I have around me. Mountains, rivers, lakes, deer, elk, bears, bears...bears, LOL. Actually not as many places to safely ride a bike as in the city. Now my biking is with a motorcycle. If I'm tooling around on my motorcycle and take a fall, I'll more than likely end up in the hospital. ;) Sorta arse backwards of me moving toward the more dangerous. The wife thinks I'm crazy sometimes. Hell, the way I see it, you only go around once. The other old dogs and I like ralleys and plan on attending more this year. We're nice though, we let younger guys ride with us. LOL
I'll match my cycle against your cane any day. Still no footraces though. LOL Catch you later (if you'll not speeding around).
Have a good one.

I thought the lawyer might have found something out of the ordinary. Percentage wise though, if one takes into account the various causes of CP and how C-Sections come about, it makes sense that the levels would be close. You're "right on" about CP with children being like what happens with adult stroke victims. Both result in damage to brain tissue and that can't be replaced or repaired. The damage is permanent. Your analogy of the extent of damage gives a clear take on the range of damage as well, from minor to major.

my bitch for today. its 4/20 and all the pot heads in school are bragging about how their gonna get high after school. we already know they do this and it would be in their best interest not to talk about it, cause frosty the cop listens real good to stuff like that today. i guess if you wanna get high i dont care, but you dont have to broadcast to the whole school. i guess nobody ever said they were bright.
sig made by me, i think.

I agree with you there dvd buddy. But you are just going to have to deal with it, I'm afraid. Unfortunately, too many people like to be spoon-fed the answer, rather than putting in a little effort themselves.
Ah well, we live on!

You have the link to the image and then you include the link in img tags to show the image.

Note:To show how img tags are written, they have to be a screen capture, the img tags don't work as text. Open the Message window as if to post and read the info above the message box about HTML Tags. Type the entire text including brackets into your sig and the image will show as above.

Sophocles and "The Donald" (aka 64026402) are among the "brains" from the regulars on that thread. Over there, I'm the nOOb on some of the material covered. I'm glad you see some of the humor. Sometimes it's a little dry. Some people think we're being mean to each other. Besides the tech discussions, the camaraderie helps keep that thread a good spot to visit.

By the way on that thread you should join in and let us know what you're building. If you get a good custom board, there's even those who will help you OC it. One member is getting ready to build an Opteron 175. Several people have gotten tips on improvements for hardware as well as settings.
