scsi abort error when using dvd shrink and nero

I recently bought and Aopen 12X DVD -+RW, Dual layer..ect... I installed it in my computer iot copy DVD's, it worked but it was taking my computer about 2 hours to complete the burn process. CPU ran at 100%, needless to say it was because my computer was a PII. Now to my question... so I bought a new Sony Viao which came with both a dvdrom drive and an awesome dvd rw drive. I sold the aopen dvd rw to my neighbor and even installed it for him. I installed dvd shrink v3.2 and nero version 6.0. After dvd shrink finishes shrinking the dvd to harddrive and then nero starts he gets a scsi error abort and basically the movie don't burn. I have noticed that i can dvd shrink it to hard drive and then use copy to dvd and the movie will burn. Can anyone provide any help. thanks. Dave
