Need more info. What does the error say? When does it happen. Also, why not try another freeware such as DVD Decrypter to see if it works then...

What software are you using to burn the disc? I used xcopy xpress rf with DVD43. CloneDVD with AnyDVD works well also. Otherwise, the previous suggestion is probably your best bet. I've backed up my copy of Incredibles and it works fine!

No problem. Since you've got Nero, all you need to do now is download DVD Decrypter. Once done it should automatically load up, if not, click on from your desktop or start menu. You will need to create a destination folder for files to go to. I named mine "Rip It Up". (Don't use quoatations when you name it) Once you've created a folder, highlight it so Decrypter will no where to send your files. Insert the DVD to copy. Click on the decrypter. Done. It will let you know when it's finished. When that's done, bring up Nero. You probably won't need to shrink the file before bringing up Nero unless it's a really large file. Bring up Nero, then browse for the folder where your movie is and burn it. Should be fine. I'll be notified when new messages hit this thread. Let me know how it turns out! Good luck!

Oh yeah, if you've got DVD43 or AnyDVD enabled, disable them. They may interfere with your work or cause errors which may confuse you.

The absolute idiots guide to copying protected dvds is too use DVD IDLE PRO which can be downloaded from the net for about $30 (£16) It is well worth the money. Once downloaded it automatically runs in the background when Nero is opened and allows you to copy anything with Nero Recode. Open Nero recode - click "copy entire dvd" then click "import DVD" it will open a browser for your computer - you then simply pick the drive your film is in and it will take about one minute to load. Once loaded Nero automatically calculates any compression rate required to fit it on to a blank dvd and then you click "burn" and voila - a perfect copy everytime.

what disks are you using dvd-r, dvd+r or dvd+rw? This could be the problem with your dvd player but if its not playing on computer, hmmmmmm. Check the images(DVD images .iso), mount them(daemon tools, alcohol 120%) and play in your software dvd player and if they play fine then its your *BURNING METHODS* :-p
Playstation 2 ---- Matrix Infinity
Gamecube --------- Ninja Mod
Xbox 360 --------- Firmware Hack

I would have to agree with bilbo on this one. This whole thread is confusing as hell!!
Demonil,
You have yet to describe what methods you have tried to use? Just that nothing works? Well what doesn't work and where exactly are your problems arising?
OK do your self and everyone else here a favor that is trying to help you in your efforts. See the link in my signature? Clcick on that link and use the guide there called <Scuba Pete's DVD Decrypter & DVD Shrink guide> this is by far the easiest method for backing up your DVD's and the programs used in that guide are all free. Now if you run into a problem after following that guide let us know exactly where the problems arose so that we can better understand what your problems are.

I use "AnyDVD" for the copy protection. Once thats in the background. Open up "DVD Shrink". Copy files to a know place. Open "IMGTool Classic", (can be found here) after your file has been made, it will open up DVD Decrypter. At that point, you should just be able to pop a blank DVD in and burn. All of these methods here are great. You just have to find the programs that work best for you.

Now what is the outcome?
I have a feeling you just aren't doing the process right thats why I stress to you to look at the guide it walks you through the whole process step by step.
If you are still having problems after tryiong that method then we can look at other areas.. :-)

Good god there should be no problem--- Just load DVD Shrink (latest version) Load DVD Decrypter (latest version) Open the dvd with Shrink click back up and it will encode it and automaticaly switch to decrypter to burn it. It says it needs Nero to burn with decrypter but I am using Roxio easy cd 6 and it works fine too. I ripp and burn what I please and only have a bad one about 1 in 20. and they play on just about anything. So get the free programs use them and quit beating your head against the wall.

As stated by a few folks here, the combination of DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink, followed by a Burn With Nero, are almost IDIOT PROOF. If you can't back up a DVD with those three programs, it can't BE backed up - OR - there is a serious problem with YOUR DVD burner or the firmware version that is installed in the DVD Player - OR - the computer Power Supply is not putting out enough juce to burn the disk properly
(Power supply problems account for at least 25 percent of Bad Burns on even the best DVD Burners made today)... Been down that road already. High end systems need AT LEAST a Heavy Duty 400W power supply - and I don't mean the one can came with your computer. Those factory installed power supplies are GET BY (for the least money) at best. (some folks won't agree, and thats OK with me).....
Pressing On:
Use Decrypter in FILE MODE and copy the disk to your Hard Drive. Use DVD Shrink in FILE MODE and do a Full Disk Backup. Take the resulting FILE and burn the VIDEO_TS folder to your Backup disk using Nero. It's just that darn simple. I have backed up close to 1,000 titles using that method and, of the very, VERY, FEW bad burns that I get, 99 percent are the fault of either the disks I am using or the DVD Burner itself.
The conversion programs, DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink NEVER fail to deliver a quality reproduction, and Nero is as close to being flawless as any program can expect to be when designed to run on Multi-Platforms.
Always use DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink in FILE MODE because those are the DEFAULTS that were designed into the programs to give you the very BEST results. After you have learned to use the programs, you might want to fool around with the ISO setups, but I would not recommend it unless you have NO OTHER WAY to burn your work to disk...
