mate getting the box in navan on ch//us is setting up the same as with n'l oris there a different set up also will i need prov id and putting the new v450 will that help

you do not have to set provider in where the scan area is go to manual scan click on it put the symbol rate for C***** in there use the freq numbers i have supplied also v4.50 will be a good option as well turn on your emu and it should work for you no prob

Helping people is great, however that entails helping them HERE ie AT Afterdawn. What that doesn't entail is advertising other forums/advertising full stop. And that goes for anyone else who has site links in their signatures. If the sites only contain files and relevant help info, no problem. Anything over and above that is blatantly against Afterdawn's Forum Rules...which are in my signature..
edit- If you posters want to point people towards a file somewhere outside of Afterdawn, just provide the link to the file(s), ie don't use just a site link.

creaky i wonder is it against the rules to name and shame sellers of s/v boxes who dont give any after sales help with faulty goods and so by doing this we can help people looking for s/v boxes we can steer them away from bogus sellers who take the money and run also putting power in the buyers hands treating these people with exposure if they dont get there act together

Witko the site here is for help related information not for defamation of people charater as this could lead to suit been filed against the forum here by now most people here know who the people are and therefore no need to put that up in my opinion
As for your other question if you are on N** and you put the symbol rate in for your friend he will still have to scan when he gets home when he turns on the box to do the scan the symbol rate could have changed my advice to you would be to show him/her how to do it and let them carry on themselves with the install it is not rocket science

I wonder if you could help me fergusrb... I have a clone starview and have tried to jtag it myself without much success... I have followed the diagrams posted here on this site and am almost 100% sure everything is wired up properly but my one problem is in determining where the VCC connection goes once it is soldered to C40 in the box... could you help... Please...
ps,,, I have tried reactivating the box via the jkeys with the six soldered connections I have already made (minus the VCC) and nothing happens at all...

there is no vcc wire for the jtag you are using try the link under my post for eko and the info should be there as well as the skymax that seems to work better

been asked if i could jtag a couple of boxs for a friend,made the lead but nowhere says were the c40(vcc) soldered wire goes to anybody know

if you made the jtag from the information shown on this site you do not use vcc wire all other information can be had by downloading the jtag stuff from the eko link at bottom of my post

hi all bbc1 audio only on boxes tried manual scan not found crappy signal not thru box.can anybody point me in the direction of the new freeview box hooked up to astra satelite .i need more info about channels[ 100 ] i would get

Sorry but you cannot use Starview or TheBox on satalite they only work on true cable
