@WAZID360-You can try that, but I think it might be the same as using the generic serial number for the battery, and may cause malfunctions later on down the road...
@kinel-That sounds like a brick-You can try pressing the brightness/contrast button (next to the musical note at the bottom) to see if your screen comes up-But if no luck, you will have to run the pandora program to unbrick it...

Hi,
My friend have a PSP with the official firmware...Can i downgrade the PSP using "PANDORA BATTERY"...without using a LUMINES UMD...MY PSP firmware is 3.40 OE-A...Is there a chance of bricking my PSP while making the files for the "PANDORA BATTERY" ?

Yes, u can downgrade with the battery without lumines, there is no chance of bricking your psp while u are making it, you could damage your battery though, but it is highly unlikely n can be fix if using another one.

Within seconds of opening the file at the first screen, eTrust PestPatrol popped up a warning about that running in system memory. I searched about it, and it seems to be computer monitoring software. I'll be sure to run the GUI while I'm not connected to the internet, that is after I update all my defs for the anti-spyware software.
EDIT: I've heard about the recent fakes of Pro Duo cards on Amazon, any thoughts on this one? Sandisk SDMSPD256768 256MB Memory Stick Pro Duo Card
The price does seem pretty cheap though.
EDIT: WTF!!?? Sony 256mb Pro Duo 500$
Oi...
Yes, the battery and memory stick can be restored, if u have a friend with a psp (doesn't matter firmware) u can use it as a memory stick reader and use Pandora's GUI to format the card, n write the files, but to do it legally is to dump the firmware with a homebrewable psp. as with the monitoring thing that was weird, are u sure it wasn't just a popup or something i have no idea since i never usd that prog, i have used Pandora's GUI, not sure if there the same or not. As wth fake cards, is the reason i don't buy memory cards online, since u do not know if there will be fake or not. Dang 500$ for a 256mb memory stick u sure u didn't read wrg lol.

I forgot to mention, I did quarantine IamBigBrother, and the setup file (Pandora) disappeared from the desktop. In the quarntinted part of eTrust PestPatrol, there was Pandora's Jigstick Installer. Who released the Easy Installer anyway? BTW I had downloaded the GUI file from link on the first post.
At Wal-Mart, they've got a 256mb Pro Duo for like $28, pretty good price. Only card reader I seen was a SanDisk 14-in-One for $28 as well, but I won't be needing to read/write to Compact Flash. I'll just stick with that card reader/writer on Amazon.
It sounds like all I need to downgrade my PSP, is to get the Tool version battery from codjunkies.com and a 256mb Pro Duo card w/ reader/writer, since my friends all have 3.52 lol. I already have a USB data/power cable for the PSP. So, I think the process goes: insert card reader/writer w/ 256mb Pro Duo card in USB slot, run Pandora's Easy GUI to format memory stick and install files to the MS, then insert the Magic Memory Stick into the PSP, next comes the battery. A menu should then appear, and just choose downgrade to 1.50? Sounds easy enough.
And I'm sure I read the price tag right :P

Hey, I just have a few questions here they are.
So if I am correct this is what I do.
I download the easy installer
Then I get my friends PSP with Official 1.5, I put my battery and memory stick into his PSP. Then I plug it into the USB, I then open the command prompt and type mspsp.exe E after that it formats my MS?
Then after this I istall the easy installer onto my PSP. Where in the PSP? Which file? After that then I unplug the USB, take out the memory stick and then find the Pandoras Battery installer? Where would that be on the PSP?
Before I install I have to do is press Triangle before X and it will back up my Battery?
THen after that I just take out my Battery, and MS and then it is formatted. I then put them in my PSP and I have 1.5 and can upgrade to CFW?
After I format my MS to this is it possible to use my MS as a normal MS?
Sorry if I am taking a long time explaining this I just don't want to run into a troubles.
Thanks for the help.

Good thing I bricked my PSP and i had to use the pandora to revive it. LOL. Anyway, you will find the battery maker under your games. You have to use your PSP to run it and not the PC. Yes. You do have to press triangle to back up the battery if you need to recover it. Then when you have the MS and pandora battery ready, insert the MS to the bricked PSP and then insert the battery. It should load if you did it correctly. You will then be at 1.5. And yes, you can go to a CFW after that. When your done, you can format your MS using your PSP and you can use it as normal.I hope I was able to answer your questions.

So to recover my battery all I do is press triangle and after I run the app, it will be back to normal. Or is their some weird hacker thing I need to do after I press triangle?

You press triangle before you make it to back the eeprom up
Then after you've used it, to convert it back, make sure the eeprom is at your MS root, run the installer again and press L + R

I did everything and when I put the pandoras battery into my PSP all I get is a green light, and a black screen. But when I put my friends battery into mine I get everything to work. What's going on?

How can that work:
You put the Pandora battery in and it doesn't work
You put a normal battery in and it works...
You mixed them up?
