The file "Titanic AC3 T02 2_0ch 192Kbps 44.1KHz.wav" is 1.84GB. so I guess it must be the right one but it comes up with it's corrupt or the wrong format. Is Titanic the only movie that has some sort of blocking built in to stop the conversion of it.?
Does ne1 know whats going on...???
I tried all sorts of things but Titanic doesn't seem to wanna let you rip it. I even had this with my friends copy. Both mine and his had the same probs so it must be sumthing on the discs. ThanX all. Bob.

If you are having this problem muxing the audio back into the AVI and not splitting it out then this may help.

What are you using to mux the audio back in? For AC3 audio I've used VirtualdubMod flawlessly though one time I was tired and tried to load the AC3 file in virtualfub and had a similiar error to what you described. Also you may need a codec for the AC3, I don't remember if that was included with Virtualdubmod.

Hi Twilite,
I'm not 100% up on the Mux idea, But the prob begins b4 the virtualdub stage. I should have explained that better, Sorry.
First I use smartripper to extract the vobs. Once I've got them I use DVD2AVI (To get the wav and the d2v) then Virualdub for my AVI's or TMPEGEnc for my Mpeg's.
Now the prob is that no matter which audio track I chose in DVD2AVI it doesn't come through in the finished product.
Every other movie I've done I've worked out except Titanic.
Normally by default in DVD2AVI it is track 1 that should be chosen, but in Resident evil it was track 2. But I can't seem to figure out what is going on with Titanic.
Track 2 gives me the wav file but there is some sort of error, "it's corrupt or the wrong format". As I said b4, this happens every time I convert with every copy I use. So I feel it is not a problem with the way I'm converting, considering it's the exact way I do all my other conversions. And all my others have worked out perfect.
Just a Problem with Titanic proportions [Excuse the pun, :-))]
I've been working on and off with this problem for a couple of months now. It sure would be good to lick the prob and get the excess files off my puter.
ThankX.

I'm not real experienced with ripping, I've only done two movies and don't have the Titanic video to try this myself but searching the database here I did see someone say they were able to rip Titanic along with a couple others. Don't lose hope, as far as help I can offer;

Since the audio is ripped to a wav file have you tried to play just the wav file in something like media player? This may tell you if the audio is really bad or if it does bomb it may give you a better error message to say what the deal is.

Also you said you've done other movies, were these after you did this movie?

Sorry I can't offer anything more concrete. :(

I've done heaps of movies b4 & after this titanic, all except 1 worked perfectly by default on all the programs I use. The 1 that I had to change was Resident Evil, and all I had to do there was change the audio track in DVD2AVI from 1 to 2.
The audio gives an error when trying to play by saying, words to the effect of "it's corrupt or the wrong format". I've got a feeling it's the later. The wrong format somehow because no matter how many times I convert it and from different sources it is the same problem.
But never mind, it is just 1 of those probs that keep us figuring em out. I will get to the bottom of it. It's just a matter of time. And when I do, Ill be able to help sum1 else out hey.
Just FYI, I'm not sure if this helps ne1 but it is a region 4 DVD. for those who may have had the same probs.
ThanX, Cya. Bob. :-))
