Has anyone noticed when you back up a movie in shrink, and you want to choose the burning speed it shows 1x, 2x, 2.4 and MAXIMUM? Now I bought some Riteks and I would like to burn at 8x not 12x so for some strange reason Shrink sees the original disc in there and won't allow me to choose 8x only the speeds above, maximum is too high at 12x, is this a bug or is there a way to restrict the burner from burning faster then 8x?

If you are using Nero to burn with this will usually default to max speed. Try burning with Decrypter and set your speed at 8x

When I use Shrink/Nero I set the speed by inserting th blank disc in and letting it get spun up. Then I set the speed. If you set the speed before doing this then Shrink will just use the default "max" speed.

Just my 2 cents worth...
