"F*ck Wit Dre Day"-The Chronic. From back when rap was rap. Not 50 Cent talking about Magic Sticks and Candy Shops. Rap from the late 80's though the 90's.

2pac is the best, to bad that he got shot. He could have made a lot more great songs if he were still alive.

I really don't listen to much rap, I can't stand much new stuff because the music itself is god awful, they just care about money, fame, and all that crap.

but if I were to pick a good rap song I'd have to say Snoop Dogg's "Gin N Juice", along with pretty much EVERY Beastie Boys album made

For the best quality mp3s use EAC (exact audio copy) to rip your audio CDs and LAME to encode them. Follow this guide:

I really like the Beach Boys. :) You remember them? They knew what harmony was.

lol Philipman. That is the reason for the smiley symbol after the first sentence. I do know what rap is. I was joking.

I can't honestly understand how anyone could like Jay-Z. I personally don't think he can rap very well, he steals other people's lyrics and beats. Nas is way better. 2pac, Biggie, Nas, and Eminem are the best. Twista is awesome too (although the beats in his last album sucked).

Yeah I agree Jay-Z honestly is overated they used to play him non stop so I am sure alot of people are brain washed to like him.I like Bone Thugs also as you can tell with my nickname, the style is different.I think it would be like this for me in the categories at the moment:

East:Nas
West:Xzibit
MidWest:I like Bone Thugs, but haven't really heard much from them in awhile.
South:Ludacris

Hey squizzle check out some of Bone Thugs underground music bro,you might like it if you like Twista bro.

Oh I almost forgot to mention I like Noreaga, but just for laughs every once in awhile. There are alot of artists out right now,and to be honest it is hard to pick from them all.I really do think there is alot more potential out that we haven't heard yet.The people we hear most of the time are fake though like normal, all the actual real life gangstas are never revealed or don't last long.I do have to admit though Shyne was definately gangsta, but look where he is now.

Man there is so many. Can we also include albums as some artists make a good song but cant cut a good album. I have listened to rap properly for about 5 years now. The Real Slim Shady was the first rap song I liked and after that I listend to the likes of Dre, Snoop, NWA, Pac, Big and all the others.

R.I.P. 2Pac, Eazy-E, Biggie, Big L, Big Pun, Mac Dre, Aaliyah, Left Eye and all the other fallen soldiers

Anything from the late 80's to the early 90's. Rakim, Slick Rick, KRS ONE, EPMD, DRE & Snoop just to name a few. Most music after that has been okay but nothing like the old days when you could listen to a rap album/ cd from beginning to the end.

I think Bone Thuggs are the shit, I haven't listened to them in a while. I've been listening to Wu-Tang a lot lately.
