DVD Shrink Burn Speed won't change

Hi All...

Damn DvD Shrink 3.2 will not let me get above 4x for a burn speed with my new DVD-R.(16X) The burner is I/O Magic 12X Dual Format, and the disks are Crappy-ass Staples brand a friend bought. Nero will recognize the burn speed of the DVDs, but when i dvd shrink, then burn with nero, it it only 4X !! any suggestions??

Shrink doesn't have anything to do with the burn speed. Shrink does not burn at all. All the burn settings are within Nero since it is the actual burning program. It is suggested that dvd movies be burned at no higher than 4x and with cheap media as you state you have it will more than likely error out if burned higher. No burner drive or Program can burn faster than the rated speed of the blank media.
