I fellowed the tutorial two times now. The first one I know I did something wrong. I only got the ISO about 84,000kb.I guess that why Nero would only let me burn on a cd-r or cd-rw. But the second time I did it down to the tee. And now I only got 1.88gb. The real game is 4.37GB. What did I do wrong.
Sorry for so many post in a row

I have problem following your description to copy Ratchet Clank 3. This is the point: Cannot find any SLUS OR SLES files, only SCES followed by a number (5 digits). If I introduce this info I get the message "Location length is too short (less than 600000 sector)" when "DVD-ROM Master Disc" is selected at the beginning. The problem disappears if I select "CD-ROM Master Disc" (??). I get in this way at the end on the HD the two files STAR.iml and STAR.ims. And now? How can I get the files STAR.000 and STAR.001? What I'm doing wrong?. Any body had problems with this game?

as i said before, some games can't be made smaller. Type SCES instead of sles or slus. Do u get the 2 error messages when u click record?? After u get STAR.iml and STAR.ims click "export" and then u'll get the other files. Btw u won't be needing STAR.iml and STAR.ims afterwards.

Yes, I pressed the button record and I found a star.000 file in another directory (My mistake). The problem is that this file is only around 220 MB instead of more than 4 GB!. This happen only with the game R & C 3 !!. Is there any kind of protection?
NB: The total amount of all files on the original CD is around 220 MB, where are the other 4 GB?.
If I make an image with Alchool or copy with Nero it just doen't work. The console starts but the screen remain black.

you should have more than 1 star file....at least 2, 3 or sometimes 4. When you combine them using dos that when you get your final iso image at about 2 gigs.

Yes, I konw but with this game it only create one file with about 220 MB!. I tried with other games and it works OK (2 or more Star files according to the dimention of the game).
It is maybe a new kind of protection?

there is no protection. It might be because its has a scus file. This method doesn't work for all the games.

make sure you have the necessary file in the right spot. ?WNASPI32.DLL? in your windows system folder. It might be on your PC somewhere else. If so, just COPY it to your windows system folder (do not CUT and PASTE).
and yes they need to be in the right order

I have 2 questions, (1)how come same games still remains the same size after rebuilding with isobuster, and others dont?
(2)why is that some games you have to retype the LBA's and you dont for others, any ideas will be great.
to cfreeland, nba live 2005 game me a hard time as well, in fact DVD Decrypter wasnt able to rip it, claiming bad sector. so i just left it alone and backed up mercenaries.

freeland, download WNASPI32.DLL and put it in your windows system folder.
sizla, some games have dummy files to make the iso big nad make it harder to backup.

You could delete files like movies, music ect... But its hard, time consuming and u have to know what u delete. I've done it couple a times, and its pretty complicated.

Ok I have completed each step for copying mercenaries. However when I get to step 4 (merging the files), I'm stuck. When I try to combined them I get "the system cannot find the file specified". Also Instead of just the "C" prompt. I have "C:\documents and settings \office>"
When I type "c:\" I get the following error "c:\ is not recognized as an internal or external command...." Any help? You can send a PM or reply
