Hey well this website is really good and gives good information. I have one question though. I have the mod chip in my PS2 and I am DVD Decrpter to read and write my games. I have tested one game called Raw vs. Smackdown and everything went successfully. I am using a DVD+R. The problem is that when I put in the Burned game the red screen appears and I get a message saying that I need to put a PS2 game in. What seems to be the problem? I burned the game at 1X. I don't know why this would happen. Please can somebody get back to me with this situation at kramroop0820@hotmail.com?

3 options:
1. you ps2 cant read +r
2. your not using your chip correctly
3. your chip is not working

ok u guys, ive backed up 2 games. gta 5 and star wars battelfronts. the origionals both play fine, but the origionals both lag. that is they play a few seconds then they freeze up and the sound track starts repeating, then after a second or 2 of that then they play again. i dont understand y this is happening on my backups. i'm using a dms light with maxwell dvd+r 8x 4.7gb @ 1x speed. can you help?

you could try 4x media. I've also read that 8x media burned at 1x doesn't work very well, but 2x does (can't confirm it though).

Okay that those are 3 possible reasons. But I burned movies before on the same DVD+R discs and my PS2 reads the movies. So if the chip can read the movies then the chip should be able to read the game. Or is it that the game is an ISO file and a movie is just video ts? I will try on a DVD-R disc to see if that should solve my problem. If not then I need to get my chiped fixed. Thanks a lot
