54321,
silicon do list a datasafe media (I have used them in the past, but I believe they have now been superceded)
Datawrite are one of their latest brands.
Bottom line is, if you find a brand that works for you, stick with it.
Problems then come when you find you can't get the brand when it comes to re ordering.
However, because this is still an emerging technology improvements are coming along all the time.
One name that crops up time after time is RITEK. If you can determine that what you are after is manufactured by RITEK, it's going to be pretty good.

-----------------------------------------------
this is what its all about nothing like running out of your brand then finding out the brand you want is out of stock. Traxdada is good at this.
tryed your address you gave me www.lynxdv.com
OUT OF STOCK
AWAITING DELIVERY
DISCONTINUED
even tryed a few other sites
its like people are eating them
so its worth having a backup.

54321,
Yes, you're right, it's a mad world out there.
I think with all those burners being sold (PC and standalone settops) REAL makers of DVD media can't keep up with the pace (but, won't tell you and me that)
Just be a bit patient, and buy when stocks become available.

Hey guys,
Ok.. right now I am about to tear my hair out.
I need help with the following:
CCESP 2.64
AVISynth 2.07
Every application (WM, VSAPI, CCE) that I try to open the .avs file I have created just exits as soon as I try to load in the .avs - no erros, no hangs, no results!
WTF am I doing wrong?

What are you doing ???
Please show us your *.avs script.
The most common problem here is that your *.avs file is in fact *.avs.txt
Have you checked this bit out ?

Hmm.. codecs in DVD2AVI folder? 54321, could you tell me which codecs need to be in there?
HomerJ:
LoadPlugin("C:\windows\system32\MPEG2DEC3.dll")
mpeg2source("H:\Matrix RIP\Resized\Menuless\Matrix.d2v",iDCT=5,CPU=0)
That is my Matrix.avs file contents.
