Nice work Marvo,

I don't know what I was thinking the day I ordered from GetItRepaired. I guess it is a lesson hard learned. I tried to solder in my own chip that day and ruined my PS2, I guess I was impatient and thought maybe good kearma hit me with a cheap modded PS2.

Now all I have is a legal battle and a headache.

I use http://www.resellerratings.com religiously before ordering from anyone. It's a great site to have bookmarked :)

He does business as now...
So if you look up GetItRepaired, you don't ever see anything.
Thats how he got me, I did a google and only found 1 complaint, but if you look up VDO Specialties, you will see all the negative feedback customers have given.

I just want to warn who I can, and I did review VDO Specialties on Resellerratings.

I can advise you to stay well clear of Gamedevilonline.com. I sent money for 5 game consoles over 2 months ago and I'm yet to receive either the units or a refund. This message is to serve as a warning and to save others from going through the unfortunate experience that I'm going through. He always promises to send the units and even states that he has sent them but nothing arrives, only later for him to admit that he has yet sent them but intends to do so. I have all my emails between myself and gamedevilonline to support everything I'm saying.

http://www.resellerratings.com is a good source. Too bad I looked at it after I ordered my Pre Mod PS2 with Matrix Infinity. Anyway, I bought my PS2 from xbox-modchips.com and there weren't too many positive reviews about this place on resellerratings.com. However they did deliver my pre modded console within two weeks (from Canada to Australia) and it works fine.

When I decided to buy my pre-modded PS2, I came to the conclusion that nobody could guarantee me that the laser on the PSTwo will not burn because of the chip. There are a dozen of fixes out there and they are all called "definitive" fixes (look up my name on those forums, I have a post listing them). Some modders will do a particular fix but without being able to explain why they do this fix and not another one. At the end, I gave up and decided to buy a used PS2 so that I could pick the model(V7 or V8 seems to be the best ones) on eBay (I used p2repairsinc and they delivered as promised) and then I sent the whole to socalmods.com (not the cheapest but like in any other business you get what you pay for). The entire process took about one month but there was no surprise.
