You beat me again! :P

Your media is made by CMC MAG which can be very problematic plus your drive is trying to burn them faster than they're rated for so try knocking the speed down and/or changing media :)

i will go out today and buy new media and try burning at a slower speed because Nero allows me to do that let you know the results later

could only get memorex media but turned the burn speed down and they seemed to work okay no problems. could you tell me if i download a film from the net is it the same procedure with shrink and decrypter as when you do a back up dvd or a different procedure and also a good site to get movies from cheers for all your help

Great news! Glad we got you burning :)

Getting films off the net is a lot more involved than copying an original. In order to reduce the overall file size to something more manageable almost all the films on the net have been converted so some form of AVI with the most common formats being Xvid or Divx so in order to get them to work in a standard player you'll need to transcode the files to the required VOB/IFO/BUP files. Transcoding takes time and the quality of converted files isn't nearly as good as a copy of an original.

As for getting the films we can't link to any specific sites as per forum rules but if you check out our File Sharing forum I'm sure you'll get a good idea of what's involved with that.
