did DVD Decrypter works for the movie "The Grudge?" or you have to use AnyDVD to rip it.
Secondly, I'm not quite sure I understand the features of AnyDVD. Um, do i just run that program while using DVD Decrypter and somehow believing that it's interact with each other to bypass the protections?

AnyDVD runs in the background and takes out the encryptions......DVDD is still king and should be able to rip all the DVDs out there still! At least it does for me. I don't need AnyDVD yet! I'll let you know with the new movies that just came out today! I bought a couple and should be backing them up tonight with DVDD!

Gotta Say that I love DVD Decrypter as it is so useful and can cope with most films and games I have thrown at it. But when trying to back up Closer, with AnyDVD, DVD43, DVD region+CSS free, Decrypter, Shrink,Smart ripper or Vstrip. None worked at all. But loaded DVDFab (free version) and bang! backup copy now done.<p>
As far as Sony etc... wanting to know how effective the encryption is, and whether it has been successfully cracked, then you can be sure they already know long before someone post the name of a film here, and will already be working on the next level of protection regardless of how secure they think the present encryption is.

web......... that's funny but I used DVDD for the movie Closer and it worked for me! I haven't come across any DVD yet that didn't work with DVDD! But I love DVDFabExpress...... very good proggie! and it's up to date and allows for burning speeds that you select!~ XXX-State of the Union went down like butter!

IHoe I agree DVDD inserted one dummy sector and moved on and ripped XXX State of the Union with no problem. The program worked just as it always has, hope it keeps on working for a long time. But just in case there are still other programs.

Have given Decrypter another go, this time in file mode and it has backed up Closer to HDD, will try Shrink on it later. Not sure why it didn't work earlier for me. Would also point out that Shrink could not work on the video_ts folder made by DVDFab, as it said it was missing file Vob1_8, eevn though this is not on the disk, maybe this is a dummy or something? Played okay if burnt to DVD9 disk, but I don't like using them due to the cost, and I perfer full face printables. Also tried latest version of DVDFab gold, this copied and burnt a DVD5 but the encoding was crap, and the film was pixelated. Checked and played from the temp file and this too, was corrupted so there is obviously something that software does not like. Main reason for posting again, is to go back to beginning and again admit that Decrypter is still the best and about as good as it gets, just such a shame it isn't going to get any more updates.

i know that dvdfab decrypter has worked for some people but, it has not worked for me. so keep on with derypter, it should do the job.
Nero Recode2 or Shrink using deep analysis and AEC/ fabdecrypter or anydvd running in the background/ IMGBurn to burn/main movie only mode= perfect.

DVD Shrink is still my program of choice, but if Shrink can't handle it(the new CSS protection) I usually use the final updated DVD Decrypter. I have been experimenting with DVDFab Decrypter and am getting fantastic results with it also. Its getting me somewhat faster results then either of the other two with little or no reduction in quality. I haven't experienced the Shrink problem yet where Shrink won't recognize the DVDFab output files, only time will tell. It never hurts to keep your options open when it comes to Encoding or Decoding programs. You just can't tell when your favorite will go the way of Shrink(no updates) or DVDDecrypter(Shut Down)

Hi everyone, I am a newcomer in this site.
Would anyone tell me where i can download the DVD Decrypter, AnyDVD & DVDFab Decrypter, and as well as their manuals? Including plug-ins before running them, I suppose.
Thanks a lot!

Still use Decrypter but I love having AnyDVD in the background and every program works wonderfully with it.
