Couldn't say that. But since you hang out at spots like that, are you getting hairy palms or going blind yet? You're right about catching crap from sites like that one. That's why I don't frequent them. Even with a good AV setup with a firewall, one can still end up with problems.

Interesting mention of Nero Recode. The author of Shrink is supposed to be working for Nero now. As I mentioned, there's a lot of software combinations that can record DVDs; some with better quality than others. Doesn't seem to be any kind of real problem doing Fung Fu Hustle as long as a good decrypted file is used as the input. We've been hearing all kinds of testimonials from those who succeeded. Have fun, I'm outta here... This thread is becoming somewhat redundant.

With DVD Shrink,AnyDVD and Nero you can copy Kung Fu Hustle or just about any other movie. With these three programs I've even put both wide screen and full screen on the same DVD-R

For this one I used the Fred Flintstone movie maker box. Threw in the original and a few stones and the dino rockpecker turned out an exact copy. I think everyone has got backing up this one by now...

LOL! Brobear, I think I got some movies from netflix the other day that someone copied using the same method! They sure looked like it anyway. I even got one that was cracked in half, the old rockpecker must've been working overtime on that one!

Seems to be a common problem with rentals. Some I believe are used as substitutes for clay pigeons before being returned to the rental centers; others as gnaw toys for a deranged pitbull. The bad condition is sometimes copy protection in itself. Problem is, some play and some won't. If a disc isn't totally destroyed, you can sometimes use a resurfacing and polish tool like SkipDr; in case you don't want to do the return and get another routine. Discs beyond reason, I've started labeling as broken on both sides with a red marker and putting the same on the cover slip. When/if they send back a return, I might be able to figure it out. Hope you haven't gotten any of my damaged returns. ;)

Since the last version of Shrink is well over 1 year old and no longer has support, we can safely assume there is a need for supporting decryption software. Instead of saying which ones work, and a bunch will, lets ask the question, "Which decryption apps don't work with Shrink?"
