to all...this is how I get my torrents to work.
When the torrent is done (And you have seeded it for a wile). All you do is mount one of the files in the folder that you downloaded(Dosent matter what one).
I use deamon tools. so mount one of the files from the downloaded folder then use dvd decryptor to rip an iso from it. then you can re burn it using what ever burning progrma works for you.
it seems to work faster for me. I dont no why...my computer can rip a iso with dvd decryptor in a matter of mins but it takes half an hour to extract a 4 gig file using winzip/winrar.

Hi
This is what i use to burn all downloaded games xbox and ps2
WINRAR
DVD DECRYPTER
Download your torrent, wait till it has finnished, if you try to open the files before it has finnished you will get an error message. Open your folder and if its in WinRAR format ie. 3 books, double click on it and WinRAR will open, if its an unknown format right click on the first file and select open with WinRAR. when WinRAR opens you will see an iso image in the main screen, then hit extract to and pick a location, say desktop to make it easy to find!. After the file has finnished extracting, open up DVD Decrypter select MODE/ISO/WRITE select the iso you have on your desktop and then burn at no more that x4 speed on good quality media.
This method will work with both PS2 AND XBOX GAMES

Don't Play DVD-R on your playstation it screws up your laser, i have experienced it. mi playstation was working fine before i started plying DVD-R games (downloaded games) and it screwd up my coil. The guy who fixed my ps2 (some chinese dude) warned me not play DVD-R again instead he gave me and told me to play these games (they were pirated) they come from malaysia, they are downloaded off the net 2 but not are exactly DVD-R and much safer. The Dude sells em illegaly for some for $3 and some for $5 and sum that are new even go up to 10 but and he gets them as soon as they come out (he's fast) they are like perfect and all work fine like originals. I have got no problems after i started playing with them.
WARNING:
These games mentioned are illegal and if you are caught with em in The U.S.A they will be confiscated and you will have to pay a fine for ( i am not sure)....

Aiks! Need some guidance please! What I got was not iso files...
berty if you could point me in the right direction: I got one PS2 game in a single rar file, and after extracting it in a folder, the contents include a few folders like Data, Menu, Modules, Videos, and also a few files Soundps2.big, soundps2.fat and System.
What do I do with these? I tried just burning them onto a DVD as a data disc but my console won't run it (it's chipped). Is there something else I'm supposed to do with these files?
Appreciate any help! Thanks!

I already have DVD Decrypter and the Soul Calibur III .ISO file in my PC. This might sound stoopid but if it says that it won't fit in the CD-R; do you think I should continue? Do I also need a DVD-ROM to record this?

It also says something about that the game is either in an unkown format, i'm pretty sure it's a .rar or the file is damaged, it isnt becuase everyone else who downloaded it is saying it works fine... please help

kcflyguy, I checked out the add on wizard pro, it's odd cause in one sentence it says no mod chip needed and than in another sentence it says cannot play without a mod-chip, I'm very new at this, I never backed up a game before, I was going to invest in wizard pro one time before cause it sounded like it was going to be easy till I heard you needed things like a mod-chip etc. which kinda became out of my league.

Game Releases
Games are usually distributed in a number of RAR-archives (compressed files). This has been done to facilitate the actual download of the release. You only need to extract the first file in the sequence (usually named game.rar or game.r001/.001) and the rest of the files will be uncompressed automatically. If you need step-by-step instructions on how to extract RAR archives, see Hursty's WinRAR Guide. When the files have been extracted (uncompressed), a CD/DVD image file will be produced. The CD/DVD image is an exact digital replica of a CD/DVD, whereby all of the data is stored in one file to completely preserve the data structure and integrity of the CD/DVD. Some common disk image formats include: .BIN/.CUE, .IMG, .NRG, .MDF/.MDS, .CCD, and .IMG. These disk images can be burned using software such as Nero, Alcohol 120%, DVD Decrypter, and ImgBurn. See the sticky threads at the top of the PS2 DVD Backup forum if you need help in using these programs.
Often times, you will find an .NFO and a .SFV file with releases. The .NFO file is a text file with information about the release. The files are designed by ASCII artists and can be read with Damn NFO Viewer or simply with any text editor such as notepad. SFV stands for Simple File Validator and is used to check files if they became corrupt after transfer. It does this by doing a CRC (cyclic redundancy check). After the check it displays which files contain CRC-errors and therefore are corrupt. You can use a program like hkSFV (http://www.download.com/HkSFV/3000-2248_4-10157350.html) to check your files (after installing hkSFV, simply double-click on the .SFV file and it will verify the files).
Summary
In short, typically, games are split into several compressed files. These files are usually found in RAR format and usually suffixed with .rar/.r00#/.00# file extensions. When these files are extracted (uncompressed), they 'come together' and produce a single image file (most commonly in .ISO format) which you can burn onto a CD/DVD (Nero, Alcohol 120%, CloneCD, DVD Decrypter, or ImgBurn). DVD Decrypter (http://www.dvddecrypter.org.uk) is an excellent choice if you're looking for free burning software.
Media
In general it's usually better to use DVD-Rs when burning PS2 games because they have better compatibility across all PS2 versions. With better media you'll put less strain on the laser and will have higher success rates when burning. Also, it is important that your drives firmware is up-to-date. New versions add support for newer media and improve compatibility / burn quality with existing ones. Additionally, there's the new features and bug fixes you'd expect with any bit of software (which is basically what firmware is).
Taiyo Yuden DVD-Rs are considered to be some of the best among enthusiasts due to their high quality burns, low failure rates, and media longevity. They are also used by drive manufacturers and Sony PlayStation developers. Verbatim, Phillips, and Sony AccuCores (made in Japan) are also very good. You can purchase media from an online retailer such as http://www.supermediastore.com.
Extracting RAR files w/ WinRAR (http://www.rarlab.com)
1. Right-click on first file in the sequence (ie. game.rar, game.part01.rar, game.r00, or game.001). From the right-click context menu, select WinRAR->Extract OR Extract to game\.
NOTE: If the file has an extension of game.001 you will need to add it to WinRAR's user defined archive extensions so you can extract the files via the right-click context menu. To do this, open WinRAR->Options->Settings->Integration->Add .001 to the 'User defined archive extensions' box.
Burning PS2 DVD Images w/ DVD Decrypter (http://www.dvddecrypter.org.uk)
1. Insert blank DVD into drive
2. Open DVD Decrypter
3. Mode->ISO->Write
4. Browse to image file
5. Set Write Speed to 4x OR half the speed of the disc (16x -> 8x)
6. Click on Hard Drive->DVD picture
*** NOTE: You need some type of modification to play backup PS2 games, either a modchip, using a hard drive & HDLoader, or via swap method (Swap Magic / PS2 Independence Exploit.
*** If you have any additional questions/problems/concerns feel free to post a detailed explanation of your situation in the proper forum so we can assist you.
Good Luck!
