What I did was use DVD Decrypter to make a back up. Only thing is that it didnt turn it into an ISO file. it turned into 2 files. 1 with an .I00 extension and and .I01 extension. I changed the .I00 and .I01 into .00 and .01 and merged them together using CDVDGEN ISO BUILDER. Burned the New Image (not rebuilt) onto a Maxell DVD-R at 6x and the whole game works perfect. This was from a back up of the original disk, not a Down Load.

I tend to agree with 2kwic. Most people have backed this game up okay. Somebody said it was a Dual layer game, but obviously from the size of the game it isn't. The rebuild guides work, don't worry about which order files are in. Follow the directions for either rebuilding method and you'll get it. I think everyone is making this harder than it needs to be. Rebuild or don't. Burn at 2x or 4x on a quality DVD-R. I recommend rebuilding using Nero and IsoBuster, but rebuilding with CD/DVDGen works just as well. This really just boils down to following directions. Here are some links which might help:

11. Q. How Do I rebuild games?
A. With Nero and Isobuster (works as long as no single file is over 2 GB's): http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/197949
With CD/DVDGen: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/210515

19. Q. Where I can I find Apache 2, Winhiip, or PAL2NTSC patcher with Y-fix?
A. http://teammodders.com/download.php?action=category&cat_id=8
This link also contains downloads for CDDVDGen 1.50 and a couple other useful tools. (it doesn't matter which version you have).

This contains a ton of useful backup utilites as well.
http://www.backuptools.co.uk/

Both these sites require registration to download anything. It's free, so do it if you need any of the tools they have.

78. Q. Sure I'm supposed to use DVD Decrypter, Alcohol 120%, Isobuster, DVD Shrink, Nero, IML2ISO, CD/DVDGen and all this different software you mention for burning PS2 games, where can I download it?
A. This is for those exceptionally lazy people who don't realize that you click on the hyperlink of the program in question and it links you to a download page. So enjoy.
DVD Decrypter: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_rippers/dvd_...
Alcohol 120%: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_tools/alcoho...

you can't just say everyone is stupid/wrong becasue a lot of people are having problems and some people are using quality media with the latest swap magic with this game, there is something in that ISO that is making the game not load and i want to know what it is, i already wasted 1 DVD -R and i will not waste anymore untill i have a confirmed method of rebuilding/burning this game.

Calm down. Nobody said anyone was stupid or wrong. It's just for every person who says they have had difficulty getting it to load there is one who say's it wasn't a problem. Judging from a lot of the replies, I think it's a simple case of being intimidated by the rebuilding process. It could be the iso, but I think it's far more likely human error. I'm sorry one dvd is not a lot. I've wasted a lot more than that on stupid EA sports games. If I gave a crap about this game, maybe I'd download it, but I don't. The info is all there. It's a matter of putting it all together.

the problem is, i always rebuilt games flawlesly if they had dummy files, and i just used ISO buster on path of neo and found no dummy files. and i have always burned ISO flawlesly without no problems. but this ISO has no dummys or nothing like that, so trying to rebuild it i dont think will make much diffrence as it has no dummy, so i am quite confused.

i only have 5 DVD -Rs left so i have to burn them carefully.

Well I rebuilt 3 EA sports games with no dummy files and I have a modchip. I rebuilt NHL 2006, NBA 2006, and Madden 2006, all which have no dummy files. I have a modchip so technically I shouldn't need to rebuild. I was using good Media Maxell DVD-R's. (media code RitekG05). The fact is they all run flawlessly now. I don't know the technical reason why rebuilding some games without a dummy file works, but it certainly can help. I'd say it's worth a try. Rebuild with Nero and IsoBuster and burn at 2x. I'd at least give it a try. One more coaster isn't the end of the world.

ok i really didn't have to rebuild it because i did iso/read iso/write with decryter no problems so i wanted to see what would happen if i did rebuild it well the same thing works fine try this method if you have already then forget this post

GET Apache 2
GET CDdvdgen 1.20
DVD Decrypter
That's all you need
1.Open decrypter to iso read to put the game iso on hard drive

2.open the game with apache point to the game on you left thatlooks like a CD image right click it and hit extract all

3.When thats done open cddvdgen click new project then click dvd-rom master disc put the game files in the same order that apache had them go to volume and where it say Disc name you put for ex.(SLUS *****)
after that go to producer name put in PLAYSTATION and where it say Licence Area i pick america. Ater that go to file at the top on cddvdgen and click Export iml file it will ask you to save on your HDD you can put a short name of the game click save and that's it for cddvdgen close it

4. Go back to apache go to file on the top and click Import iml file then you should see on your right all the file of the game then go back to file and click build ISO and there you go wait for it to finish and burn it to a dvd-r on good media and burning speed such as 2x-4x
O yeah if it still skips on good media then get your ps2 laser cleaned because v7 was skipping and choppy untill i cleaned the laser

Tuff disc is garbage. Use something better. The DVD+R's should be fine as long as you booktype them.

Yeah that's good stuff the Fuji's made in Japan are Yuden. I picked up some Maxell's at Wal-Mart, and they ended up being Ritek G05. Either one of those should work fine. Good Luck.
