Yeah i stoped burning at 1x about a 1yr ago but it should work what are you using for you slim ps2 fliptop, modchip i used a fliptop and it works fine

i just burned it at 4x speed and it still dont work i use slim tools.

I just want to reiterate to some of the earlier posts that talk about bad media and the like. I have tried this game direct ISO (from torrent) burn at 1x, 2.4X and 4x on Taiyo Yuden, Memorex, Fujifilm, and Sony. I've also tried rebuilding the game. Something I'm not afraid to do. I still cant get the game to work... so its not a media problem.
I've tried SM 2.0 and my new 3.6. I have a v7 PS2. So, there's some kind of problem, I dont know what, but there's something there. Matrix code and no more. I've given up on the game, but I just want to say that in my case, and possibly some others out there, its NOT a result of media or rebuilding process.

i am deciding if to delete the image or not, i just wasted my 6th disc on this game i have rebuilt burned at diffrent speeds rebuilt even using the guide for dummy's to rebuild the game. and direct burn and i have the best A grade media and it still wont load. there is definitely something wrong with the ISO and not with the media.

I also downloaded the game... didnt need rebuilding... used TYG02 media.. used DVD Decrypter x1... with SM 2.0

Hold up are you tryin to burn a download copy of matrix? if so yeah it's something wrong with the ISO i had the original copy i guess that's why mine work rebuild or not i don't know what to tell you about DL games id say get the original

Notice the TYG02 media works. One thing I noticed about the Maxell DVD's is that they outsource their media to many different companies. While most of the Maxell's I got at Wal-Mart have the Ritek G05 media code, I coula swore awhile back I encountered one that was the dreaded CMC Magnetics code. Sure enough, I happened to stick my burned copy of DQVIII in my burner and got the CMC media code in DVD Decrypter. Almost no manufacturers make their own media. They outsource their media to companies which manufacture it in China, Taiwan, Japan, and a couple other countries. The point being, you never know what your getting with some of the bigger manufacturers. On the surface the Maxells I have are identical. However, after a little more checking one was Ritek G05 (quality media) the other was CMC AE1 (God awful dogshit media). So pick up some good media. I switched to TYG02 myself.

yeah, i think the torrent has a bad image. i am going to get a orignal of this game and back that up.

jesus dude c'mon why is everybody making this so hard.....
EVERYBODY PAY ATTENTION here is how you play the new matrix game without rebuilding,patching,compressing,or whatever it is you have to do blacvk voodo,white magic,.....ok here it goes short simple and will work cuz my 9 year old boy is playing it right this very minute as i type he is playing.........
1.get your game that you bought not borrowed or rented "wink.wink"
2.decrypt it either with dvddecryptor or gamexcopy i used both and both workt fine.
3.i used great quality dvd 8X- from frys electronics .GQ DVD-R 8x
part#4158363 50blanks for 10 bucks.
4.insert your blank disk in your burner
5. click write on dvddecryptor or on gamexcopy click the write from image and select your matrix file make sure if using gamexcopy type the name of the game or it will just be the slu21273 file ...anywho...
6.when finish take the game out place in your ps2 (i use the swapmagic disk my sons have a mod on there's, my cuzin has hdloader and it workt perfect on ALL of them........
7.order pizza get some soda kick back and enter the matriks....

i just decrypted with dvd decryptor and wrote the iso file not the mds file ....and it took me 2 dvd blanks the 3rd one working fine so far im on it now.............................................

i got it 2 work last week sorry i didnt post my progress i was playing it all week
it was my burning process that i was using the whole time
i tried one i read in a forum and it worked !!!

i got the game workin, i rebuided it and burned it at 16x
using the verbatim azo dvd 16x
Recorder: benq 1640
source: orignal dvd Pal
size 3.6gb? with rebuild
Had the same problem as eveyone else when i was burning at 1x, 2x, 2.4x and rebuilded.
when i rebuilded and burned the game at 2.4x it was lucky to even load up, it took about 3 min to get to the main menu, the gameplay jumped when i was puttin in big combos and the video were out of synced.
the speed at 1x & 2x never loaded up, only looped at the coding page at begining.
i would suggest some people to burn it at 16x which worked beautifully for me
i hope this helps anyone
