As long as your comfortable with them. Are you planning on installing the chip yourself? If so make sure you're an experienced solderer. Or did you mean trustedmods.com is going to install the chip for you?

No, I was going to buy a premod. I have screwed up other consoles before, so there is probably no way I would be able to do a PS2. Don't the modchips have around 19 or so wires?

Yeah 18 or 19 wires is normal. Good decision to pay a pro. I wouldn't touch a soldering iron with a ten foot pole. I paid teammodders.com to install a Matrix Infinity in my v.4. I couldn't be happier with the results.

There's more than one reputable mod installer on the internet. Do you have some proof trustedmods.com isn't legit? It sounds to me like you're just trying to steer business towards your guy. Now I'm sure you're guy is reputable and I'm glad he did a job on your PS2, but dgm08 is free to to make up his own mind. He's done his homework thus far, I assume he did his homework on trustedmods.com as well. I'm not having a dig at you, just think he can make up his own mind. Cheers!

Yea, I know, but this is the cheapest price you will EVER find. Im sure trustedmods doesn't have $180 chubby V7 w/ DMS4 Pro premods or even slim ones with DMS4 Pro SE or any other chip for $180. This is with shipping. I was just trying to get him the best price for his money, because in way, its the same thing buying a premod from any modder, you always get a warranty, and wherever u have to pay for one, you stay away from there.

Yea, I can, I bought my premodded V7 from him, with DMS4 Pro and he flashed it already with ToxicOS, and he installs a brand new laser and also the best one, the 400c, on all of his premods, so u can play games really good and homebrew/backups ones will load really fast and wont stress your laser. I would know, my modded PS2 V7 seems to load a bit faster in the company intro screens than my older unmodded V7. And there's the fact that the V7 is the best model of PS2's out and chubby's are better than the slim ones, and shipping is included, while u get charged $15 at trustedmods.
And a 3-month warranty. He's also selling a $20 brand new Logitech PS2 wireless controller and 2 brand new Sony mem cards for $30(1 for $15) if anybody wanted them too, and a while back he was giving away a brand new network adapter with a V7 for $180, but I bought mines before.
He also got me my premod in 2 days, 1 less, and he lives in California and I'm in NY(C). Across the country.>_>
I would suggest this to him, would save him a lot of money, and then he can buy more accesories and DVD+R's, a DVD burner too if he doesn't have one, but I doubt it.

Well I don't if there is any "best" version PS2. After v.4 most of them read DVD+R's fine. v.4 PS2's are 50/50 as far as reading DVD+R's. v.1-3 Don't read DVD+R's well at all. When using DVD+R's you should always booktype them to DVD-ROM. The slim PS2's, especially v.12's, require a laser fix to keep the laser from burning out. Even an unmodded slim can fry it's laser in a short amount of time. I admit all this sounds like a good deal. I'm a little wary of someone giving away that much free stuff, and really low prices. $20 for the Logitech Cordless controller?! I got mine at Wal-Mart for $40. It's a really nice controller and I haven't had to replace the batteries once. A couple questions.
1. How is this guy able to sell stuff at prices that are %25 lower than anybody else on the internet? (That Logitech Controller for instance, I looked around online and the cheapest I found it for was like $33).
2. Where does he get his supplies from?
3. I haven't read the one link you posted all the way through, but has anybody else on this site use modman and can verify the long term quality of his work?
Sorry I might be a cynic, but something about this doesn't add up to me. I'm not calling you a liar or saying that he isn't as good as advertised, I just am curious. Cheers!

You've fallen into their trap too....I thought the same thing when I got there, but quickly found out he was real, there is no proof, everybody's scared of competition, because his prices are the cheapest, he can sell them for cheap cause he makes a small profit and its a hobby to him, not a job, I've talked to him on AIM and e-mail. He's not shady or anything, u can trust him, I did, and I got my PS2 premod perfectly, there's nothing wrong with it or about it. He probably has the Logitech wireless controller going for $20 cause he might've gotten it for free or something as a gift, or bought it a long time ago but never used it. I'm telling u, dont believe what everyone else says, I was thinking about spending $250 on a premod, but then I thought thats too much, and is he's as fake as they say, why would he have real customers and real tracking numbers? And there is no proof or complaining customers.

Yeah I got all the backstory on Peteroose I needed. People avoid this guy at all costs. These guys might cost a little more but the quality of their work is garunteed. Use of one of the reputable modders posted here:

You've come to an early decision for no reason, once again, there is no solid proof whatsoever, no complaining customers and no other evidence...look at all the buyers in his thread, ate they happy? Yes. Has anyone, that HAS BOUGHT FROM HIM, said he did a bad job or steal from them? NO. Buyers are all that matters, everyone else can make up whatever crap they want...people would do anything to destroy the competition and make money...Honestly, he is LEGIT, and there's no proof but other MODDERS COMPETEING with him saying's he's a con...and NO BUYERS giving a bad review...kind of funny isn't it?

Look you might sucker some weak willed people in with your cheesy sales pitch. I have nothing further to say on the matter. Truthfully I think you're just him in disguise. Even if you're not, I don't care. I would go with someone I know to be a quality modder over a guy who looks like he should be in the special olympics. I just made my purchase from xmodd. If something seems to good to be true it probably is. Why would he not change at least like $200 for it. As far as I'm concered selling them for $180 is like yelling "I AM A FAKE!" Oh well. I hope my PSTwo comes soon.

Honestly, what proof do u have? A bunch of competitors claiming he's a con-artist? Sony could say the same thing about microsoft or Nintendo to get more sales, like that they use bad parts or something, it's competition.

Compare their prices to someone in the DMS3 vendors threads's...you'll see 23 pages for one of them and happy customers, you could've found way cheaper premods, and I mean WAY cheaper, cheaper than $250 or even for how much u bought, $265! Thats too much, especially for a video game console...$180 is right. And he did used to sell his premods for $220 but just lowered them down to $180 cause he was having a sale. His chubby ones have been $180 cause he gets them cheaper and his slim ones used to be $220, now they're $180, cause its a V14 slim he's selling, and it has no support for HDD's. Do other vendors have lower prices for V14's??? And chubby??? Im waiting for the answer. Especially when u can get a good condition chubby from a supplier fo cheap. Did anyone even think that they're premodded chubby's are NEW?>_>

DAVBERE and NETMECH on the DMS3 forums have pretty good reputations too, and they have like $250 premods, I would've gone with one of them. IMO, $300 for a premod PS2 is too much. Imagine how many accesories you could've bought, unless you're rich, then I wont say anything.

^What do u mean? If a premod PS2, then from the link I gave to modman. If you're talking about a chip, the DMS4 Pro/DMS4 S.E. Pro, since it has the most features and is as stable and durable as any other chip and do I have to say ToxicOS? If you're planning to play online with BURNT games, then the Crystal chip, if you only want to play them with originals and have both of them and just backup games, then get the DMS4 Pro, since they just work flawlessly, and you won't regret ToxicOS v0.4, best flash ever. :) Unless you count the Crystal online flash...but it could be done for DMS4 Pro too, seeing that DMS4 Pro has a 2MB flash. :) Which I love, store any .ELF you want on it...I use it for PS2 Reality Media Player Pro. Hope this helped.
Also, to anyone believing modman is fake, look at his thread now, the link I posted, there's a picture of a premod arriving a a customer's house. And I HATE UPS.

It will convert it for you automattically, all chips do that, they're made to make the PS2 region free, just play around with the settings when you get it, and change them to force NTSC and do the y-fix automattically, with the DMS4 Pro, this is so easy to do with ToxicOS.
