thats what happened to me except i don think my e drive got deleted. you erased your modded dash, bad move. im not sure how to fix it yet. i was told you can contact some sort of tech. and get it fixed for around 15 bucks. not sure though ive tried a couple things none have worked. the good news is you can still play games but not online no cds and i dont think dvds.

Get a relatively new game, like Halo 2. Start it up and try to get online--it should try to update your dash. Just make sure your plugged into some kind of internet connection before booting. Boot with the game in the tray. It should update you dash, unless you have no dash!

Good god man you reply fast! I think your best option now is to get a modchip and ftp c:\ backups to it. I know where you can get backups, I need you to tell me if you can ftp.

Indeed. Well first of all, get a bittorrent client and configure it yadda yadda yadda. I recommend Azuerus. Then go to #xbins and download the slayer's evox bittorrent .torrent. Look around in the PC section of xbins and download a .xiso unzipper. Unzip slayer's and look under System\all\c for the original XBox M$ dash files. Ftp them to c and you should boot up to the M$ dash.

Yes. The unzipper extracts the .iso into a folder. Then you just go to system\all\c and there are the default c drive folders.

But what I'm trying to get at is, can you get any dashboard period? What is your modchip brand and model.

Have you tried re-doing the mod all over again? Like, booting up splinter cell, yada yada yada?
I've wiped my C:\ drive tons of times, and all I did was re-install the mod...
