i agree MGSR's graphics are just incredible but the main reason I will buy a PS3 is because of FFXIII The battle system just makes me drool, the battle system in FFXII was horrible, even worst than magna carta's
and i think those gyroscopic controllers will really help me in games like metal gear when i need to lean,etc, get it
and now that sony has confirmed user creatable programs and games I can replace my old computer, THIS ALONE IS MY REASON TO BUY A PS3

Afreak, i admit that mgs4 looks incredible and maybe a little better than gears of war but i think when mgs4 releases which is around the same time as halo 3 which i know bungie will improve, b/c it is known fact that they are slow workers and that they most defiantly could have made that trailer look better. but anywas what i am trying to say is gears of war is coming out this year whereas mgs4 will be hitting stores next year (i think), so by then who knows what the graphic improvements on games will be like.
also apart from mgs4 and the new final fntasy i was not too impressed by other games in graphics department, they did well in gameplay, like heavely sword which looks like a load of fun but if you look carefully at the trailer everything starts to look 2D and you spot crappy stuff.
i also think that mass effect, shadowrun and resistenace also look crazy good.
well actually after watching the mgs4 trailer again but this time keeping mind the graphics, i can see a lot of jaged edges, on the charecters faces, but over all i would say around the same as halo 3 at the momment, both should look amazing when released though.
True, well all I know is that both have better graphics than Wii, and that im a Kojima whore, he and his team have never disappointed me(not even MGS2) Metal Gear Solid is just my favorite series, and that's probably why I defend Sony so damn much because Kojima just seems to like them, and have you guys seen Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops...damn that looks good.

dr.cool i will be buying the ps3, b/c i have to say i am impressed with the games, whcih i was not so impressed with on ps2, but i never really wanted a bluray player and i still stand by one thing, which is xbox 360 at this very momment to me has better graphics, be it mass effect or gears of war, nothing in those games look 2D, oh also viva pinuta looks amazing. and some other games.
