Uh-oh! Just heard a rumor scare. Falco may not appear 'cause listen to this:
There's been a rumor scare going around that Snake would be Falcon's replacement. I believe this to be false. Besides Masahiro had been thinking about what to do with Snake. We do know that Snake knows hand to hand combat and Masahiro is really trying to avoid any firearms, but he did say explosives can work, so who knows. Down + B for hiding in a box? Then again I say it'd make a better shield.
Just got that freshly offa the web. However, it also says that Falco is a "classic" so it's unlikely. Also considering that they're probably not going to throw out any of the original characters anyway. Admit it: Fans just adore a lot characters.

the "practicall begged me" part is a little misleading. Iwata and Hideo Kojima are good friends, and it was more in a friendly manner than Iwata trying to exert superiority.

Okie just found out(by my secret source of DOOM! lol...not really doom but U KNO)that EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER FROM SSBM IS MAKIN' THEIR RRETURN! No questions asked, no lags, no CRUD. So they're not replacing cool characters("side-characters" like fox or ness are prime targets because their games are not very well known...)with sappy ones. Oh, and Pit is very cool. ^_^ If you've seen the trailer then he just has this look in his eye that says, "I'm gonna kick some a** tonight!"

...buuuuuuuuut(I know u peeps dont like buts but we all have to live with them)sub-characters, such as SHEIK, may not return(because nintendo is making room for more LoZ characters). I know it's the stupidest thing since jumping offa building(sheik is built in, dumb-as nintendo), but..you know.

sorry if i insulted them, i just think its kinda stupid you know? v but then again..they might not. sheik might just be changed. and just because link has his TP look doesnt mean he's going to be changing into wolf form anytime soon.

i agree and if nintendo is poting all his hopes on his gimmick,then i dont see them lasting very long.
yeah its going to atrack some people at 1st but the magic wont last long.
so i think this gen. will mean the end for nintendo.

to be honest...what CAN snake do? Punch and kick?
Snake will probably just be some guy plotting all the bad things and such. i dont think he'll fight.

I disagree. While I think Nintendo is definately taking a risk that may or may not work out for them, they still wouldn't be in such a financial strain as to imply "the end for nintendo". Nintendo might have let down GCN owners, but there was a lot of positive news from E3 that Nintendo may have instilled a new hope, or maybe attracted new fans altogether. Nintendo shares hit a 3 year high after e3, so investors obviously have much higher expectations than you.

as for snake's moves, Nintendo already ruled out real-world guns, but bazooka-type weapons and explosive were mentioned as possibilities. Who knows what he'll do. Maybe he'll even use the box.

Yeah, they specifically mentioned "bazookas" and "missles". They also said the box would be used, maybe as a sheild or something.
