I've only had this happen once to me. It took longer than I expected to get a 360 back (about 2 1/2 weeks), and the one I have now works fine. It's frozen about twice on Burnout in one day, but I think that's all. Plus, it gets really hot in just a matter of minutes. But I haven't gotten the red lights yet on this one.

Im pretty sure that guy has broken a few rules by posting that. I've tried to report him but for some reason Afterdawn on my computer with Windows 98 doesn't have the "Report an offensive post" button.

My Xbox 360 has only froze one time since November 22nd when it was released. I consider myself to be lucky so far.

Mine hasnt froze at all and I got it about 3 months ago, it just gets really hot. How long did you play when yours froze. I've played for around 9 hours before and it still didn't freeze, so I guess I'm lucky

You sound like you've got a good one like me. I have played mine to the point when I have fell asleep with the game running to find it still working perfectly when I woke up the next morning with the controller in my hands. Mine gets pretty hot but it only froze once so far, not really sure why because I'd only been playing it for about an hour or so.

I had the occasional lockup because of this stupid intercooler i bought, i turned that pos in and got my money back.. Now i no longer have any lockups, that intercooler was probably making the power brick work harder, especially when power has to pass thru the intercooler then the Xbox..

Pittfan, good luch with your 360, I have thought about buying an intercooler to help mine run a little cooler, but if I can play for 9 hours without any problems thats good enough for me.

Do they send you an empty box to put your 360 in? I wouldn't stand for that. Every time I have had trouble with a product from anywhere they always send the replacement in a box.

Recieved Xbox 360 an Hour ago , Shes working great .. Intercooler Is on It and Finally Downloaded the Prey Demo :) Time to FW Hack soon (Samsung Drive) YES!
And yes mJoshua83 they send you a brown cardboard box to place console in then you put that in a box. Ship and recieve of xbox is the same way . Brown box

It seems like people have been having alot of trouble with the Intercoolers, That may have been the reason it kept frezing up in the first place.

Well the Intercooler is ok but the Power supply cable will not lock into the Intercooler like it does the xbox 360 power connection. It makes it a problem because if you move the console just a hair it turns off. Other then that the Intercooler draws out more air then the stock xbox 360 fans ,but is loud.

yes but after reading this i can say one thing
alot of first edition decks had problems because the company that microsoft of china hired to assemble the xbox 360 where in fact assembling them incorrectly
so they decided to fix them but it made matters worse
that is why now most 360's are assembled in japan because they are not crashing and failing

did you read that in one of your books, or did your teacher tell you that? m$ has had a very low defect rate on the xbox 360. You just don't have all of us with perfect 360's spamming forums.

Ok, I spoke too soon. Up until now I have been on this forum boasting how lucky I was that my Xbox360 wasn't a part of the defective bunch. But as of Yesterday my xbox wont let me play for all of 20 mins before it make a loud noise and freezes up on me, No matter what game I am playing so it isnt the disc for sure. When it freezes it has a bunch of lines going down the screen [Reminds me of the Matrix]. The least I can say is I am pretty mad at this and I hope the Tech Support at MS wont take hours on end like last time I had to deal with them.

EDIT> I finally have some good news. My warranty actually hasn't expired and when I called the support line [after tons of waiting and being on hold] they said they were gunna send me a box and I had to send them my Xbox360 minus the harddrive back so they could repair it. Sound exactly like what happened to 03cobra, Lets hope I have more luck.
