Can Sony stop Nintendo?

I actually heard a suprising theory made by gaming analysts which stated that sony may not win the next gen war mainly due to the price. I dont know if you guys heard it, but they said that there is a possibility that sony will fall behind microsoft and nintendo. They also stated that if sony hopes to win this war theyll have to make drastic price cuts. Obiously Ps3 has the most power of all the consoles but its not the most affordable.

If this theory turns out correct than this is what the list may look like:
1)xbox 360
2)nintendo wii
3)playstation 3

all I can say its that its going to be one hell of a battle and sony might just prove the analysts wrong

That percentage is declining rapidly tho. HD tv's are getiing cheaper as the days go by.

Anyways im tired of this "console war" crap created by losers on forums like us. Cuz no matter which companies sells more consoles or whatever it wont change anything. Im not gonna throw my PS3 away cuz SOny "lost" the console battle. (just an example) I think all this hype and loyalty and taking sides is what companies want to happen.

Its like on whose line is it anyways. Points dont matter. Who ever wins the console war will get a million points.

the only problem i have with analysis(in this case), is the plain and simple fact that; what do analysis prosper from???? DATA!! im still not sure how the hell they can come to w/e conclusions they find when all 3 consoles arn't even out yet!! in all honesty i'd say the same thing if the article picked sony to finish first.

i think we're still a little ways off before its time to come to these kinds of conclusions. give it a year or so after the launches and then i think people can make intelligent assessments, until then its just hoopla

and thats why i dont listen to analysts untill i see the pure data for myself.
They can say all they want. I remeber analyists saying ps3 was gonna cost $800 they were pretty far off

i for one am willing to pay 600 for the console and another 1k for games and a high def lcd, as for wii i will buy it after i get myself a ps3, but as far as xbox goes i'd wouldn't waste a penny(usd)on it

yeah i feel the same. i may get a wii for social timings suring the day, or to entertain girls, but i probably wont have one for aleast 6 months to a year or more. thats cuz i want a nice set up.

i realized last night, baked out of my mind, hat i wont mind the loss of vibraion. if you have a nice sound system, you can turn the bass up and really feel in the game. all the sounds, bass, and concentration to the game will basically make me forget it.
